I have watched all 4 videos and Ill tell you why Im not buying it.

 

 

Those snap clips are garbage and will give salt and moisture a nice avenue to go in and corrode your wires.

 

The entire wiring harness is sealed and gasketed just to prevent this from happening and they have been this way for over 30yrs.

 

What happens to the poor guy who is relying on your product and has it fail due to this glaring oversight on your part?

So if you had a butt splice with heat shrink would you be interested? Guaranteed to seal the wire and connection.

I would solder & shrink the wires, not use those clips. The real problem is it's $199. Thats way too expensive.

I don’t think everyone looks at it that way. I think many people look at the cost of what they’re getting vs what they paid. There’s less than $10 worth of material there. You’ll likely sell a lot more & turn a bigger profit if this switch was priced in the $50-75 range.

It’s a good product but no offense, it’s a simple product with a minimal material cost. Your average DIY tinkerer can do this for under $5.

They need to try it. Unless you have done something like this yiu have no idea the cost involved. From manufacture, advertisement to patent yiu would not believe the cost. They seem to have no problem spending $300 plus On hitch that might work on some trucks but not others. Let’s wait and see if and what GMC. Comes  out with and if it’s less than $200, my guess is it won’t be. But like I keep saying, thanks for the feedback!

I understand your costs to bring this to market, as most others do too, but like I mentioned, a DIY’er can get similar results for much cheaper.

The free market will let you know if you’ve priced it correctly. Good luck with your product.

1. stop posting as if it's not your product you are pushing. and stop making new accounts to do it.

As someone else stated, I would hardwire/solder this and then use marine heatshrink over that.

 

Then my concern would be with the integrity of the switch its self.

 

$200 for marine grade components and a bulletproof install? Yeah, no problem.

 

I do build things like this for both work and play on a daily basis, so my question is why didnt they just make the receiver different so this is not an issue in the first place?

 

I plan on tearing into mine in the spring and recessing the receiver so everything clears and also making my own hitch as part of that. Ill also factor in weird ideas of what happens 10yrs down the road when the tailgate starts getting tired of my 300lbs self climbing on it.

 

Of all the petty things people bitch about, this one is an actual issue.
