I would advise anyone who has a gun to join the NRA and get insurance. If you have to use a gun for protection for any reason  you’ll need a lawyer. In Texas they have a castle law that includes your vehicle. The problem is laws very in each state. My wife bought a gun it stays home. Until they make a national carry license I wouldn’t take the chance. Even if they do your vary limited to were you can carry. So the bad guys have them.

I once got into it with a guy who attempted to take my 72 lark with his repo truck. While i was in it. The car is titled to me... After our verbal alteration I called the police. They stated if he actually hooked up I would not be at fault if things went furthure. Moral if you let them make their attempt you are at no fault for protecting your goods. As stated each state has their own rules, but I'll be... If im letting someone take what I worked hard for and think insurance will cover 100%.

Sadly many states have laws that don't let you shoot someone just to protect your property.

Self defense. I went out to stop them and well... My thing is if you let them do it once they'll do it again. Idk if anyone notice, but this new gen millennial doesn't work besides FB or YT. Crime has gone back up even though the economy is doing better then it has in a decade or two.

It's better than nothing. False sense of security though these days. Thieves don't care if they are on camera. They just want to steal your shit.

I own a retail store and have cameras everywhere and some of the losers look up at the camera and stick something in their pocket and smile. Happened more than once. I hate thieves with an condition that makes my blood boil. I'm lucky I'm not in prison for beating a shoplifter.

BTW I have 2 2018 Silverados sitting in my driveway and I have two 100 watt lights on the front of my garage and 2 more on the side of the garage. It's lit up pretty good never had a problem since leaving the lights on 24-7. LED's so I never shut them off.

Yeah, the only real point of a camera is if it will notify you of movement, and you can run outside if you see someone stealing from your truck on the video feed.  Cops could care less about the video, even if there is a clear image of the thief and/or their vehicle.  It's just file a report and let your insurance handle it.

I often put park with the transfer case in neutral and if not driving for a few days will chock a wheel.  The chock alone should make them look elsewhere and if not, they'll not likely know the procedure to get her back into gear before contracting lead poisoning.

I hear you I feel the same way work hard never stole anything in my life. The ring though has a siren mode I mean yea take everything into count right place right time. You can push a button and it sets off a loud siren so it’s also another feature.
