anyone got the part number for this filter for our trucks, 5.3l motor??

Looking at their website, I am thinking they will not work with AFM engines.

They list 5.3's up to 2006 with the 8th character being a T, not a C as with the new engines that came out in 2007.

This might be a problem,

"An ACDelco Gold (Specialty) Ultraguard Oil Filter provides outstanding protection for demanding uses, such as racing, off-road, and heavy duty truck applications. With 98% multi-pass efficiency at 25-30 microns and burst-strength that is five times greater than normal engine oil operating pressures (as long as the normal engine oil operating pressure is not greater than 51psi), the ACDelco Gold (Specialty) Ultraguard Oil Filter is the clear choice when performance matters." - This was pulled from their website: https://www.acdelco.com/parts/filters/gold-ultraguard-oil-filters

A 98% for 25-30 is not that good, If i remember correctly the ACDelco regular/E filters are 95% at 22-28, (CAN SOMEONE VERIFY THIS)

I have been running ACdelco regular/E filters and i'm thinking of switching to amsoil filters for Wix XP. (Also change oil every 5000 miles.

i have wix filters on the shelf but they seem cheap , but i havent had the chance to open one up ,  the e filters are even cheaper quality, i think i have to order a couple of the gold delco and cut one open to confirm quality , for some reason they dont show up on amazon site.

Even the cheapest Wix (anti-drainback valve, steel spiral center tube, cellulose media, steel end caps, steel coiled spring, thicker steel can) is better built than the new AC Delco e-cores with their thin cans, plastic cages, cardboard end caps, and stamped tin spring.  The AC Delco Ultraguard Gold used to be hot in the Corvette/Camaro/Impala SS crowd back in the late 90's--early 2000's, back then they said it was the same as the Mobil1 filter.  When both MotorTrend and Car&Driver blew new Corvette motors during testing (back around 2014), GM/AC Delco immediately changed the Corvette oil filter spec from an e-core to an Ultraguard Gold.  Not sure what they spec now.

Yeah, you just can’t beat a manufacturer that specializes in filters like Wix. I used to use Wix but got sick of it leaking after each installation and having to over tighten it each and every time. I also noticed with the Wix XP, my oil pressure was ALWAYS very low (25-30) and now that I’ve switched back to Amsoil Fiters my oil pressure is perfect right at 36 at idle and maximum 50 at full throttle and noticed my engine runs much better with better psi.

what amsoil filter are you using?

I dont see how the cheap E-core delcos even filter.  a few wot runs will blow out the base of the paper mesh filter media, its easy to beak with my hands.

I would say the C is for AFM, T for all non AFM (prior) engines.
