I saw an interesting story last night that CNN misrepresented some of the facts of the effectiveness of the malaria drug. Even accusing Fox News of doing the same thing. They were ask to change the story for clarity. They refused. They’re not looking out for you people. They only have one goal. Most reports I’ve seen on the drug hyroxychloroquine are when taking early it seems to lessen the effects of the bug. A drug that’s been around awhile with little side effects. Now in reality people respond different to different drugs. I’m on blood pressure medication, my wife is too. We take different kinds. So yes there’s a possibility that hydroxychloroquine will not work the same for everyone. DUH. Especially near death on a ventilator, the report CNN sighted. It’s amazing the depths they’ll stoop to trying to discredit people they disagree with. Disgusting.

While typing the last thread the unemployment numbers came out. 4.4 million more people filed. That’s over 26 million people that lost their jobs in just a few weeks.

I haven't read the actual study yet for limitations or to see if the author of this article understands stats, but it states 94% of patients in New York with COVID-19 had underlying medical issues.....just like we've been told.

STATS guys, let's hear from you as you definitely understand the numbers more than most.

Overweight, diabetes, high blood pressure, over 65. Usually you get rid of the first one you take care of the next two. If you’re over 65 retire. So basically people are being asked to kiss their jobs good buy because of behavior problems of others. I’m guilty of some of that. I can stay home. One of the by products of this is the labor market will get younger and cheaper. So much for protecting older people.

The Houston Texas city liberals are demanding people to wear mask or get fines. The backlash is deafening. I carry a mask. Presently I’m only driving to my walking track every morning my normal routine. It’s busier than normal. People are spacing, I’m seeing no mask. My wife has to go to the post office and goes to the store when needed. She’s seeing mask where spacing is a challenge. Texans are pretty good at public safety. Look at our numbers. Requiring wearing a mask as a matter of law would be insulting to people who have been doing everything possible to date. I’m confused at the push back as far as barber shops, and like business. Mask wearing, gloves and hygiene would seem to make those business pretty safe. People are getting restless at over reach.

Yeah, so far; so good.  But what happens when the curtain is pulled on this mortal place?  Is this truly all there is?

Doesn't matter what you believe when faced with the actual truth of the matter.  Were you right or wrong?  Doesn't matter.  It will be what it is.

Who's to blame in this mess?  Look at the totals and where it is alleged to have began.

Weeks ago, the first doctors to use this cocktail of drugs were showing 100% success rate.  These were doctors in NYC, treating hundreds of patients each, many hundreds.  Then those who recovered came on the air and praised the use of those meds and some said their side effects were a headache.  Big whup.

The left has politicized this entire event and done so to destroy the presidency of DJT.  They do it all the time, going back a hundred years or more.

When this is over we ought to crush communism in America.  Force it back into the underground where it belongs.  It's murderous and subversive, Un-American.

I think companies who will introduce vaccine in the market will get great profits. As compared to vaccine, I praying for herd immunity. Lets see where its end.

As I have posted since probably 1month ago I am fairly confident in my .5-.9% MR/FR  The Who has already gone from 3-4% now at 2% and even that is absolute nonsense!  They "WHO" should be fired!

Study Finds 14% of New Yorkers Had Signs (12:35 p.m. NY)

A New York state-led study seeking to learn how many people have been infected found that 13.9% of those tested had signs of the virus, in one of the biggest U.S. reviews to date.

In New York City, the hardest-hit area in the U.S., 21.2% tested positive for a blood marker showing that they had been infected at some point. Statewide, 2.7 million people may have has Covid-19, Governor Andrew Cuomo said.

New York has reported 15,500 deaths. If 2.7 million people have been infected, that would put the fatality rate at around 0.6%.

Interesting presser yesterday. The president brings out an expert. The summery. The bug hates heat, humidity and certain lights. There was talk about certain disinfectants. Interesting information and helpful. The president responded to the expert. Maybe you and the doctors can get together see how some of that information can work on the sick. Of course the ever honest CNN headline. The president peddles dangerous cures. Don’t drink Lysol. One reporter asked. So you’re saying don’t social distances out side? As he was looking at her like the idiot she is. He answer was I’m here bringing out the experts to give information. That’s not what I said. The got you game has gotten way out of hand. Also it appears as different types of testing ramps up. More people have been exposed with no symptoms than anyone imagined.

Lysol and Tide both issued statements immediately after the presser clarifying that under no circumstances should their products be ingested.  They did it as a response to the President clearly stating that maybe light or disinfectants could be used to help patients.  Here's the Fox News article.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/media-erupt-over-trump-comments-on-disinfectant-heres-what-he-said

It's being claimed that he said it jokingly.  Joking or not, these pressers are to get crucial information to the public.  He can't just spout out ridiculous ideas and then end it with "but check with a doctor first".  He knows full well that some people will do whatever he says without consulting a doctor, so he probably shouldn't say things like he did yesterday.  As the President, HE must realize that his words hold great weight with some people, and that they must be chosen carefully.  Again, his biggest problem is when he starts speaking off the cuff.  He's not a great public speaker, his thoughts are often incoherent when he strays off script, and that gets him into trouble.

How do you think the experts up on that stage feel when he starts going off on a tangent about them looking into whether or not they could find a way to inject disinfectants into people?  That's not a question you pose in front of the nation, you ask that behind the scenes so stuff like this doesn't happen.  Those experts must be thinking that he can't possibly be serious, because no reasonable person would think that.  It's why there are warning labels on products like that.

    • What I think you're saying is there is supply here at home, and in Venezuela, and we could ease pricing if only it were favorable to do so.   Well, yes?   But that's not the current market. Supply isn't what could someday exist, if only, it's what producers are willing to produce and sell at a certain price point.   The national price of single family homes would come way down if we'd just slap together a few million homes this summer.   RAM and GPUs would get a lot cheaper if we just set up some factories to produce a bunch more and stopped using it to build out AI data centers.

Anyone have any advice? . rain-sensing function, but I am still experiencing this issue Sometimes they stay on, and other times we swipe 2 or 3 times and stop. It's super annoying, especially after a fresh wash. When I use my turn signal, they will randomly turn on. • If we actually used any significant amount of that source in the USA then I'd agree but we don't. We've had that discussion before. We drill and pump more than we use. Thing is, we sell. We export. Gas and Crude. It's more profitable so any shortage here is self inflicted and LEGAL.    I worked a gas plant that has multiple fuel sources available and I worked in the furnace and boiler plant in that facility. I'd had days we swapped fuel types four times in a twelve hour shift which isn't done on supply but on margin. Two of the fuel sources are internally generated. Tail gas and DAK, both of which are sold as well a consumed. We always had more than we needed to run the process but we chose the fuel that produced the best margin not bought at the cheapest price always. A good bit of math to that and back in the time that was done on a slide rule.     I worked the Shale Oil Semiworks of Chevron Research and CONOCO Research in Salt Lake City. That process never went into production although it was very successful. Why? Did we lack oil bearing shale? Nope. Price of crude never made the margins work. That was in the late 70's early 80's. Remember history? What was happening then was a reaction to that situation. It didn't drive it. If so then it's easy. This isn't a supply and demand thing. This is a profit and margin thing and AI rules that now.    In no refining situation that I was ever in would a bomb hitting a well anywhere in the world 'instantly' interrupt or even distress the supply. Most plants have more than a months worth of crude in the tank field and more in pumping stations. That yo-yo could play out over days, weeks and maybe months and have zero impact on plant operations. How many times has this been off and on in the last few months? These people and not stupid. These plants measure down time in hundreds of thousands of dollars per day. They are not sucking fumes or waiting on the next truckload with baited breath. Besides, as I noted, they are for the most part 'vertically integrated'. They own it from the dirt is sits in to the delivery rack and sometimes to the pump. It has a HUGE shock absorber built in. When production suffers, refining wins and when refining is winning exploration is killing. The rest of that crap in the news is a 'news cycle'. Government dipping in to reserves? Oil is stealing their milk money. There's a reason Chevron abandon Venezuela infrastructure and it had nothing to do with security of US citizens. Nationals run those plants. it has to do with MARGINS disappearing to corruption. They are in no hurry to return. Is there supply there? Oh yea. More than enough to offset what is bought in the middle east. Just isn't ???? Profitable.    We have supply. There are places in Illinois you can drive a pipe into the ground and run your homes natural gas furnace on it.    A refinery fire will gum up the supply works but not a localized war where the market is using a limited supply from. Now Europe, that's something other....
