Just purchased a 2020 Denali, and under the back bench I found this black plastic snorkel looking piece. My sales guy said it’s part of the vent system.  Any ideas where it would go?

Man, that is a terrible salesman. You just buy a new truck, find a part floating around inside, and the guy does nothing about getting that part reinstalled properly...

Since the sale person don't know , go to service person ,  Tell them you just purchase the truck . might take them 20 min.

Driver side or passenger side footwell.  Look up the part number  stamped on it on one of the gmparts websites.  Will see a diagram.

Most likely driver side.  had to go under there to wire up the illuminated door sills.

Thanks, never thought of that, I'll give that a shot.

Can't say I'm super impressed, but was hoping someone would know as driving back over there is a waste of time so I'd prefer to avoid doing that if possible.

Thanks to Shiva for advice. It was for the front driver side vent for the feet. Needed few screws to install but luckily had some from a previous car in my garage, so went pretty smooth. In case anyone runs into same situation, here’s a pic (upside down since I was on my back):

Cool man.  Glad you were able to fix it yourself.  I don't trust the techs at these dealers.

I just wonder why that part was not on the truck at the factory.  Maybe it was loose/fell off and the dealer just chucked in the back??

I'm assuming the same thing, came off the truck and the guys noticed it just sitting there.  I can't imagine it left the factory with it in the backseat storage.  Was a little surprised dealership could care less and did not notice (thinking more the former) as it did not take long to fix.  I realize it was just the venting for the feet/pedals but still, should have been taken care of.

Least now I can concentrate on modding it!

I expect better, its a new vehicle.  Maybe this is why everything else in my garage is German.

Boy i tell you, you guys are taking a large risk buying anything made within the last 4-5 months. Work moral and just overall attendance at these factory's has been a challenge for them recently.
