Beautiful truck! Welcome!

That truck would be perfect for dumping my pontoon this weekend since mine is in the shop afterĀ kissing bambi! lol

Nice truck. I've been thinking about the 3.0. How do you like it?

So far I love it.Ā  Power is really good.Ā  Not the instant off the line power of the 6.2 that I had but over all very good.

Ā

Averaging 22.3 over the 230ish miles I have put on it.Ā  Mix of city, country roads and highway (75-80) with a little bit of idle.Ā  I have had a couple trips around 25 miles that were around 25-27mpg (mix with no highway and minimal stops) and another one that was 65 miles and was a mix of all driving (mostly highway and country road) and got 24 mpg.

Yes but I am hoping that it is also "Other drivers see me red".Ā

Ā

I had my 2020 TB for 15 months and it was Black.Ā  At least once a week I would have someone either pull out in front of, drift into my lane, etc.Ā  Broad daylight or at night.Ā  Some how I managed to avoid all of them.Ā  One of them was a 18 wheeler that ignored the yield signs......Ā  Several times I would have died if I hadn't avoided the crash.Ā  I think the truck had a death wish.

IMy lifted truck is black and it's huge but I run with my foglights on during the day for that exact reason

There's a reason white is the #1 color for cars. It's obvious to see. Iirc, red is the most ticketed.

    • Howdy folks, Ā  Recently I pulled a heated steering wheel and clock spring out of a 2015 Sierra All Terrain (part numbers coming soon - will have to disassemble), and just installed it on my 2016 Sierra WT (as base model as it gets). Ā  On install, I noticed that I’m missing the connector often tucked behind the dash for the heating element. Ā  Ā  No problem… or so I thought. Ā  I used an ā€œAdd-A-Fuseā€ at my heated steering wheel fuse location, which has voltage, but no wires. I ran it to the positive of the heated steering wheel (Violet/White), and took black to ground. Ā  Hooked up the battery, turned the truck on - no heated steering wheel. No button backlights. Was pleased to see that my cruise control was working though. Ā  Read a post suggesting reversing polarity, so I gave it a shot. Violet and White to ground, Black to power.Ā  Ā  Aha! Heat! But I seemingly can’t turn it off AND still no backlights on any of the buttons.Ā  Ā  Checked all fuses, everything is still in good order. I’m stumped. Ā  Does anyone have any insight? If so, please share!
    • I'm about 1800 miles into my last oil change, and yesterday a message appeared saying oil life was at 77%. Not sure why it popped up but I think all of these electronics could be susceptible to solar flares or somesuch. I change my oil right at 3K each time, and that was the first time in 10870 miles that message came up. Strange thing is that it showed on the screen at all since I don't drive with that sort of info displayed on the DIC.

    • Checked the pads today and there's plenty of meat on them. If the message keeps coming up, I'll just answer YES that the pads were replaced and wait for the squeal.
