I have a 2021 Sierra AT4 Duramax that came equipped with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrak LT275 65R18 tires. These are the LOUDEST factory tires I've ever heard! Only 20k miles on them and at 54-60 mph they roar so loud it's almost unbearable. Loud at other speeds, but 54-60 seems to be their sweet spot. They've been rotated regularly by the dealer, are in good balance and drive just fine, just have never heard any tire so loud.

I hate to not get my full wear and use out of them, but if I don't replace them with something better I'm liable to go insane. Guess it's clear that I'm an old dude who doesn't think tire roar is cool :).

they are grippy in winter, forestry, hunting etc. but soft, noisy...and I find the ko2's get too hard, the snowflake rated AT I am really happy with now are the falken wildpeak at3w's, quiet, wear good, excellent traction and don't harden up, I have them an easy win over the goodyear/bf goodrich, hope that helps

I see the Falken Wildpeak AT3W have really good reviews. I'm looking at those or the Cooper Discoverer AT, which also are highly rated. I've never had either brand and always thought they were cheap tires, but maybe not!

Coopers are owned and made in the US. Falken is Japanese.

I have run Goodyear Wranglers on 3 different trucks. I have never experienced loud noise at any speed. Maybe my trucks have been well sound proofed? I live in NW Washington so my windows are always rolled up. Maybe that's why I don't hear them. They have performed well on dry, wet, snow and ice. The only down side for me is they need to be replaced shortly after 40K miles. They haven't worn down to the wear bars but they lose some traction ability and break loose going uphill on wet asphalt crack sealer. That has been a bit of a nuisance as the stabil trac kicks in as the truck searches for traction.

The bottom line is that I'm very pleased with these tires and have been for quite a few years.

It is the Wrangler Duratrac MT tire that comes standard on AT4 and TB that people complain about. The Duratrac looks good and performs well, but is noisy and people say they wear quickly.

I think mine are ATs. I'm sorry if I misled anyone. Thanks for pointing out my error.

I'm currently looking at some Bridgestone DUELER A/T REVO 3's on sale at Costco for $289/tire and a $150 instant rebate. Anyone have any news on these tires? BTW, the Duratrac's that come standard on the AT4 and TrailBoss are All Terrain tires, not MT. Still drone loud as hell between 50-60mph. I have about 37K miles on them now and while they still have decent treadlife left, I can't stand the drone anymore...

Actually they are marketed as "On/Off Road commercial traction" per Goodyear's description of them:

The Wrangler DuraTrac is Goodyear's On-/Off-Road Commercial Traction light truck tire developed for the drivers of multi-purpose full-sized pickups, vans, sport utility and commercial vehicles looking for tires that play hard and work harder. The Wrangler DuraTrac is designed to be a versatile tire offering off-road competence in dirt, gravel and mud with on-road composure in dry, wet and wintry conditions.

They do as advertised, and very well I might add.

I have right at 50K miles on my DuraTracs and I anticipate another 15k with ease.  For me, the ONLY drawback to this tire is noise, and mine certainly hum in that 60mph range right now.  The speed range it hums at changes every 5-10k miles but right now they sing to you at 60 mph.  Quiet as a church mouse at 50 mph and 70 mph, but that magical 60 mph and they will serenade you with the Song of the DuraTracs.

No doubt, they work well for me when I go offroad too. But that's more of a once a month occurrence for me. I'm a little sick of the Song of the DuraTracs though...

yes and the c rated ones fail quickly in the oilfield roads up here in Alberta(punctures/sidewalls), they e-rated ones are the tough ones with enough sidewall to handle the severe duty, swap to e's right away if you want a tough tire and don't like changing flats and if you play in the real bush/forestry/oil country etc.,

this was just one more reason I was happy to build my own 'boss plus' out of a custom as the factory c-rated tires would have been swapped to e-rated snowflakes anyway, this way I got to choose a different brand from the get go
