I have a 2021 Sierra AT4 Duramax that came equipped with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrak LT275 65R18 tires. These are the LOUDEST factory tires I've ever heard! Only 20k miles on them and at 54-60 mph they roar so loud it's almost unbearable. Loud at other speeds, but 54-60 seems to be their sweet spot. They've been rotated regularly by the dealer, are in good balance and drive just fine, just have never heard any tire so loud.

I hate to not get my full wear and use out of them, but if I don't replace them with something better I'm liable to go insane. Guess it's clear that I'm an old dude who doesn't think tire roar is cool :).

I have almost 40k on mine and they hum pretty good between 55-65 but go super quite above that, to the point I don't even notice them.  The tires are FANTASTIC off road, but they are noticeably noisier than traditional highway tires, or even AT tires.  Some people have had the unfortunate luck of getting a VERY loud set of them from the factory, and it sounds like your one of those individuals, sorry to hear that.

Yep, these are the loudest tires I've owned on a truck. I've got ~33K miles and the droning is terrible around 50-60mph. I have plenty of tread left, but I'm seriously considering ditching them for some Michelin LTX AT/2's.

@10,000 miles aside from taking a piece of 1880's barbed wire into tread and needing plugged then patched they have been flawless.  C rated 18's can be run at 35 PSI for more traction in snow, or run up to 50 PSI for optimum MPG on our Trail Boss 2.7L.  They hum a bit but I take out the hearing aids and its all good.

One note that GM pulled over on us that need 3 peak rated tires in snow and ice country is that the C is NOT 3 peak rated thus I learned to air down for better contact since compound was meant to last longer than E rated 3 peak version.

Sounds like you are blessed with good hearing, a curse in this case.....LOL

LOL! Guess I'll start wearing my shooting muffs or ear plugs when I am forced to go 55!

I had a leveling kit and a set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my 2018 Silvarado Z71 and they were much quieter than these. I actually liked them! (I guess that wasn't an off road truck) 🤣

I've owned a couple different sets of Duratracs on different vehicles and they are one of the quieter/better all-terrain tires, but they aren't as quiet as a highway tire.

Life is too short to be bugged by that kind of stuff, so if you'd rather have Michelins on your truck, then do it :)

My Silverado came with Wrangler Fortitude HT's. Not awesome, but good. More of a highway tire than an all-terrain, but good in wet conditions, and is something I'd feel confident running on gravel roads.

I had a '21 Trail Boss and really disliked the Duratracs.  They were horrible in wet weather and not that great in the snow either. I have always bought. BFG at2 tires in the past. They are pretty quiet and fantastic in the snow. I recently bought a 2022 ZR2 silverado which has the Goodyear territory mt's. I must say...they are sooo much better than the Duratracs thus far. Wet weather traction is really good and they are very quiet compared to the Duratracs when they were new. Time will tell if they stay that way I can't wait to see how they handle the snow.

I hate them but noise levels are low on my reasoning.  They SUCK in wet weather and frankly, aren't the best snow tire I have ever had either.

i got the fortitude HD's them tires are grippy too when its dry out.  when i go offroading I use the dirtbike instead of a 6000lbs truck, truck just gets me to the trail head.  nothing but youtube videos online with Raptors ,Tremmors , AT4's , all getting stuck in the sand or on mild rock crawling trails. something about the new technology just doesnt perform well offroad even if it came equipt from the factory for it.

I have the Trailrunner on mine and they aren't noisy but suck in wet weather.

They're AWESOME in the snow! I got the 20" wheel package and it came with the Territory's. I bought a set of Bridgestone AT's that were takeoffs from an AT4 and put them on another set of 20" aftermarket wheels. I can't believe they call the Bridgestone's AT's because they look like a normal highway tire to me. Guy with the AT4 I got them from was pissed they weren't aggressive MTs. I had Duratracs on my Avalanche and I didn't think they were bad or noisy.

I have 20" Duratracs on my 2021 Trail Boss and love them. They make a little humming noise at highway speeds. These tires stick like glue in all conditions that i have driven in. Everything in life is a compromise, if tire noise is a huge concern you can compromise and run something quieter.

Yea, I'm not the only one....

I have a 2020 Custom Trail Boss with the 18" Duratracs and they are louder than anything I've ever experienced.  I only have 15,000 miles on my truck and have been rotating them every 5000, and the amount of noise over 40mph drives me crazy!  Like others mentioned, they seem to suck in wet weather, but were good in the snow.  And I have to admit that they do look pretty awesome, which is part of the reason that I bought this truck with the fake rollbar and all.  :)

I've been eyeing up a set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers, or BFG KO2s, but I'd really like to ride in somebody's truck with those tires to see how the sound level compares.
