I just traded in a 2022 refresh SLT with wireless charging feature for a 2022 refresh Denali with the wireless charging feature. Well, the SLT never ever had an issue charging my iPhone 10 max pro or my iPhone 13 max pro. So this new Denali is a hit or miss on charging my iPhone 13 max pro now it seems. I only have 88 miles on it, but, I throw the phone in the charger just to have a nice place for it and expect it to charge as I go. This new truck has an issue it appears. I need to return to the dealer monday and I am going to see if I can get to my old SLT and take the rubber pad from it and exchange this Denali pad. It is ridiculous my SLT never had a charging issue.

If curious why I got the Denali, It has working heated seats and SuperCruise. I been waiting 6 months on RetroFit parts for my SLT and tried of waiting on parts. Good thing I dont mind using a cable to charge my iPhone if needed on long trips it looks like if the SLT rubber pad does not fix the issue.

Same here on my Refresh 22 AT4X. Never had a problem with my 20 Denali. Stops charging or won't charge at all even after taking cases off.

I have a similar problem on my 2022 Sierra. My phone charge quickly on my 2019 Sieerra but will not charge at all on my new 2022. When I put my phone on the charger, it will show a green symbol on the display, as though it is charging, but does not charge at all. The dealer said that it might be a blown fuse, but it is sensing that the phone is there. The phone charges if I plug it in.

Sorry to you guys that paid extra for those wireless chargers but the Boost Auto Parts wireless charger is excellent, fast and powerful. It takes about 1 hour to install and has been fast charging my S22 Ultra for about a year now. I know you don't want to hear this but this will solve the problem.

I picked up a 2023 AT4 two weeks ago and it's doing exactly the same thing. I won't take it to the dealership until GM acknowledges this with at least a TSB and a fix, I have a iPhone 13 Pro, with or  without the case does the same thing, took the pad off and it works slightly better, although slow, and then you get cold air blowing up through the console lid from the cooling vent on it, I traded a 2021 GMC SIERRA SLT and the wireless charging worked excellent, why are we going backwards on technology here?

I'm lucky, I guess. S22 Ultra. Set it in the charging slot and away it goes. Do the Chevys have the same charging slot under the console lid as GMC?

This has been the only solution I have found that works. I tried all kinds of other methods before finally finding that this was the key. Hope it helps any others struggling to get their phone to charge !

I also tried that with no success on my phone, I just will run with no charging pad on it until GM gets a fix

try turning it up. That’s what I had to do and it works fantastic.

I've had my 23 Denali for three weeks now and the phone charger was absolutely terrible. I have a Pixel 7 Pro with the  case on it was almost impossible to find the sweet spot . It was better with the case off. Last week I downloaded a system update GM N22-239253. Ever since that update the charger has performed flawlessly anywhere on the pad as long as the  goes in top down That's even with the case on.

I just checked mine under updates and had nothing new, hadn't been checked since 3/9, mine is a AT4 diesel, not sure what your Denali is

Just a 5.3 Denali with the Reserve Package. No Super Cruise. This is what I took off my phone as to what the updated  enhanced.   I see your a trap shooter .Go out and break some Birds. I'd be getting ready break some skeet birds this morning but the club is closed for Easter weekend. Hang in there I'm sure the update will bet to you soon.

Im actually a skeet shooter also, 3 TN state titles in it. I still have no software update from GM, I wonder if it was a gas only update, or maybe a Denali only update, who knows, Im still using mine with the rubber pad off and its working pretty good.

    • No ETA is available for that engine at the moment in the GM system.   I would start at the dealer.  Try and talk to the parts manager or service manager and see if they can start a CX Connect case and get an ETA from GM on when engines may be available.  If they just check Parts Workbench and say "no eta", they aren't trying hard enough.  They need to do a CX Connect and chat with DPAC to find the ETA.
    • I would have to read back to get a better picture in my mind of some of the other comments and what they were using for a driving scenario they based the fuel mileage off of. That is why the fuel mileage conversation is extremely difficult to make fair comparisons from. If I was to be living in town and only driving around town, light to light and some longer stretches that doesn't have a light every block, and the usual stop at a grocery store and the bank and so on and so forth, my fuel mileage even during the summer time would be so bad with my truck I don't even want to know how bad it would be !. Then add in winter time and idling to warm it up to clear the windows and driving through snowy streets etc, large heavy trucks with gas engines have NEVER been worth crap for fuel mileage and why some little pot licker of a car with wheelbarrow tires and a 1300 cc four cylinder non turbo engine was the ticket to using a mere fraction of the fuel over a full size pickup.    By the way my truck has the 34" tires as its a HC but not the BFG KO3 tires ( that was an option for my truck but the sales guy couldn't figure out what the tires actually were so that never got on the order until it was too late to change the truck order ). So what fuel mileage your getting actually sounds good for "town driving" and with my truck when I go to town the fuel mileage keeps increasing as I get closer to town because it takes quite a while to get the driveline oils warmed up ( and why it always shows better fuel mileage on the return trip from town because its already warmed up ) but once I am in town that fuel mileage average just keeps dropping the more I mess around town and then has to recover back to something reasonable again by the time I get home for an over all average.    I'd be curious what your sticker says for the factory weight of your truck, mine is close around that 7700 lb due to the options it has. But anyway the long and short is, vehicle weight, higher rolling resistance heavy tires and a hefty driveline and a relatively large gas engine make for crap fuel mileage in stop and go scenarios, all one can do is drive it easy off the line at each stop and as my dad had said over the years, drive like a raw egg is under your foot and that's the best one can do. Years back with a carbed engine and if the carb was getting a bit out of tune etc as would the ignition system, the fuel mileage on pickups with larger engines was just awful compared to what your getting. We pay the fuel price penalty for driving HD trucks over some little vehicle, that is the reality.
    • We had two Toyota’s with that engine in the mid 80s. We had 50 gallon fuel tanks, a toolbox full of tools, an air compressor and assorted parts for our equipment. We beat those up and down pipeline ROWs until we started buying diesel trucks. Then they became parts runners and first vehicles for our teenagers first cars. Our shop Forman wrecked them both two years apart when we hired him out of high school as an apprentice. Good thing he’s an excellent mechanic. It took awhile before he could be called a good driver.
