Hey All,

I just bought a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 3.0L LZ0 Duramax - Brand new from the dealership about a month ago.

I have done quite a bit of exterior work but want to begin some performance modifications.

My question is...  Do the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 3.0L LZ0 Duramax have an exaustt flapper valve?

I was doing some research and was going to get under my truck to modify the flapper valve/muffler delete to stay open, but I couldn't see or find it.

I also saw some people who got some muffler tape to tape over the 3 "mesh like screens"/resonator deletes but could not find those either.

Any/All help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Jason

On my 2022 5.3l Sierra, the valve was located about 4-5 inches in front of the muffler. You should be able to see it if you look underneath, passenger side, in front of the rear wheel. But this is on the 5.3.

The diesels don't have any of that. The turbo/SCR/DPF system act as the muffler on those engines.
