  4. So there can be an end to the diff cover debate. If the OEM cover is made anywhere else then here's a good enough reason for me to replace it! [emoji631][emoji631][emoji631] Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

  7. Starting installed my AEM air fuel gauge today. I really didn't feel like removing the Y pipe in my garage unless I was going to install headers, so I removed the left wheel well and hoped for the best. I drilled a hole, put the o2 bung in, angled it a little bit so condensation won't build up in the sensor and welded it up. It was tough to get the welder in there so it's pretty ugly, but it doesn't leak and it works.

  12. Your not going to want to continuously adjust the front ride height, from what if I’ve read it’s easy but you have to have the strut off the truck and the spring compressed, etc. I currently just have a puck style leveling kit but will be getting this shortly but that’s besides the point. My point is I have a leveling kit and I haul a 30’ travel trailer and don’t have any issues with it. I have sumo springs helpers that replaced the stock bump stops and then my weight distribution hitch takes care of the rest for the most part. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  16. This is a solid question because the K2 came with the larger axle if you got the 6.2L.

  17. They are on High Country and SLT & Up Sierra. The rest of us have to make do with the dumb little bulb down there. I’m 99% sure swapping it to LED without a load resistor would cause hyper-flash but haven’t had a chance to try it yet.

  18. I hope it can get figured out pretty quickly! After reading the thread, I hope mine works. I didn’t specify that I had the rear sensors when I placed my order. I wasn’t aware that I had to! This process in upgrading the cluster is way different then it is when I did this on my 2017 F150 last year! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  21. My Denali Cluster will be here tomorrow, I have an LT with the LT 2 package(I think that’s right). I have the rear park sensors but not the front! Not sure if I can help in looking at things for you once I get mine but I’d be glad to help out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  22. I do understand your concerns but as a business man I also see his introduction into the Diff Cover market as well. These aftermarket Diff Covers have been around longer than you and I and constantly upgraded with additional cooling properties. I’ve had aftermarket Diff Covers on many vehicles with zero failures (wish I could say the same for other stock parts) and same for my friends. The G2 is another example of an excellent design and ease of maintenance which helps make changing your Diff Fluids much easier and sooner leading to a well maintained rear. He said his findings are based on square aftermarket Diff Covers which last time I checked my Diff Cover wasn’t but again that being said he purposely mislead everyone questioning Diff Covers and then later decided to come out with his own version which he’s never done before. He also went on to say that his findings are inconclusive and that he has no idea how well his Diff Cover will work but I’m sure no different than the rest. I noticed his design had large fins from the inside too which IMO looks flawed and possibly his attempt keeping fluid from breaking down but no way capable fitting. Moving on, he starts with questioning the validity of Aftermarket Diff Covers and whether they work or not, moved on to now getting into the business of making his own into the already well established and flooded Diff Cover market. Banks has been replaced by so many newer and MUCH BETTER designed products out there and this is just his way of a comeback, the more I think of how he started out with questioning the validity of aftermarket Diff Covers in general and then making his own version speaks mounds, got your attention and others as well, I’ve got to much experience in life and especially life’s manipulations feeding only fears. Again, I’ve been running aftermarket Diff Covers for many years along with buddies of mine and not once having any issues. He’s a BULLSHITTER! Sent from above

  23. I don't see how it's "false". He goes over why the current aftermarket covers aren't good, shows the fluid dynamics of them, shows aeration, talks about how some of them aren't getting oil to the front pinion. When he has shown the lower half of his cover it's clearly different from the others on the market. BD has the most similar except it achieves the additional oil level with an added cavity on the bottom which is clearly going to cause issue with the fluid dynamics. Now I don't know if his diff cover will be available for the smaller axels in our 1500s but it seems incorrect to say his info is wrong simply because he is planning to make his own. Additionally, having yourself and a buddy without issues doesn't speak much to long term wear or performance. To be clear, I don't think a diff cover is going to make or break anything in the short term, but in the longer term it may be responsible for additional wear and tear.

  34. There are a lot of people who would tell you to launch in 4hi and switch to 2hi after the 1-2 shift. I haven't done any launches with my truck, but that seems like it would be a pretty safe way of doing it. I can imagine that the Auto 4 would put a pretty high amount of stress on the t-case.

  39. Still what's in my sig. 295/70/17 and Bilstein 5100s at max ride height, so 1.8" or so. Have headers in storage waiting for warranty to expire, morimotos and Rigid lights that i've neglected for years i'm about to install. Wish i'd have gone ahead and upgraded to Bajakit's chase kit. New UCAs, Kings, and Deaver leafs would've been nice. Buddy of mine in my dental class likes to go on wheeling trips so might be doing that come our two week break in May.

  40. My 2017 Denali just turned 16,000 with two trips to Texas to its credit(about 10,000 miles total) both with the bed stuffed full of ammo and guns for hunting and plinking...the truck was heavy. Both trips averaged 25 mpg and the eight speed was smooth and responsive when needed, in all my mileage I have no reason to complain about the transmission and have felt it was far better than my six speed 2015. In fact this truck from bumper to bumper is the best driving vehicle I have owned ( and I have had a bunch of new cars) nd maybe I will keep it beyond the next update of the series.

  42. I think you have to sign up with the internet my chevrolet first to start your free basic 5 yr plan then download the app , when you get to the site on your computer have your Vin number for your truck it has a lot of useful Info for your truck, I mean it has your build of your specific truck which is cool, Go to the play store on your phone and download "my chevrolet " App ,or search my chevrolet app also on apple or Iphone I forgot what was required but works great ,

  43. Personally I don't do any real overlanding, but do study builds for ideas that might work for me. While it would be fun, taking "vacations from the world" for weeks or months at a time just isn't possible for me right now and I have other requirements from my truck that a good overland rig wouldn't do well. Here was my Trailblazer when I got done with it: The platform certainly had some limitations but we got by with it pretty well for a while.

  44. I'm in the process of upgrading the factory full featured power fold mirrors on my 2017 Sierra Denali to the full featured power fold tow mirrors. I have to say that @pgamboa has been a massive help & I mean massive! The time, quality and effort he has put into his gear is incredible ! Looks and performs as good (if not better) than OEM !
