You can fit 33's without a leveling kit with plenty of room. The stock wheels that came on my truck were 275 60 20 which is a 33. With the leveling kit you can go with a wider 33 or taller than 33. I have the 2 inch Rough Country level which is a bottom spacer with 295 60 20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2 and it rides nice. I don't know if a top or bottom spacer is supposed to be better but so far I like the bottom spacer on my truck.2 points

I went to the GMC website and chatted with an advisor and got my build sheet in under 10 minutes2 points

Email gm customer service. They will provide you the build sheet. I did it with my Tahoe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

I have the GM CAI on my 6.2. I'm going to get this filter from AMSOIL and see how it fits. If so then this will be my replacement filter. The price listed is the retail price. Anyone wanting to get one once I find out if it works let me know. I can offer a GM-Trucks discount for it. AMSOIL Universal Air Induction Filter EAAU40702 points

After 5 great years and lots of customizations to my 2014 1500, I pulled the trigger on a 2020 Duramax AT4 HD yesterday. Really looking forward to the build on this one. Adding sub woofers and a hard folding cover next week! Suspension and tires TBD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Discovered a problem yesterday hauling my dirt bike. When you are using the MultiPro Tailgate "Step" as a cargo stop it doesn't work as it should. With the "step" in the "up", cargo stop position as pictured below there is no mechanical stay/lock to keep the "step" in the raised position. As soon as you hit the brakes the step folds down into the closed position rendering is useless as a cargo stop. It will only stay up if you have cargo the exact dimensions to wedge up against it to keep it up. After leaving my house the first stop sign I came to I heard a "thunk" and stopped to see what it was. Low and behold, I found out it was the cargo stop falling into the closed position. The design is comical at best. In my case it's somewhat important. One of the reasons I bought was the tailgate so I could load dirt bikes in straight as I'd now have a cargo stop. Also wanted the stop to keep all our riding gear in the bed. It's a pain in the ass loading dirt bikes at an angle so you can get containment by closing the tailgate. I think I'll design/build a rod/support of some sort to just wedge in there to keep it in the raised position. As an engineer myself I don't understand how the GM guys let this shit get into production with these issues. I really wonder if they do any real world testing. The fix wouldn't even cost them anything. They could have just made it with a sliding hinge "lock/stay" to keep the hinge from closing and the cargo stop from falling down. I might go this route instead of a "prop rod". The GM guys come up with some really cool stuff but they don't always think it through. In my company this is called incompetence. A mediocre operability design review would have identified this issue if one had been done...1 point

with that open of a question your going to get a million different opinions. I believe the question you need to ask yourself is do you want to spend more (initial cost - mpg) for more "smiles per mile" or not. both are very capable engines1 point

Absolutely! The window defrosted and those heated seats are NICE!1 point

Man, I love this truck, so cold weather has finally arrived. The last time Indrove it, I had the AC on. So, early this morning I do a remote start, and when I get in shes as warm as can be and the steering wheel is heated too. Really love this new Silverado!1 point

This is why I love a standard bed. 8 for board fits with tailgate closed Ryan B.1 point

A tech friend of mine says that disconnecting the battery and discharging the system puts the computer in relearn mode (where the CAI is concerned) and the computer will sort it all out from there. No need to actually take it to the dealer for them to essentially restart the computer..1 point

Well, if you are going to wash a filter that has no documentation that says it can/should be washed, and you are worried about your warranty, good luck with that. Sounds like you bought some bling that you didn't realize was expensive to use...1 point

I've owned several 5.3 trucks. My 19 is a 6.2. The one thing to consider is where previously you could do performance upgrades currently they are very limited. So what you have is pretty much all your going to get. I'm sure eventually tuning will be available but if it's anything like the corvette world the price for tuning is outrageous. Even small performance items like a air intake and cat back can cost you $2000 plus dollars and will still not perform anything like a 6.2. That's not even figuring the 10 speed vs the 8 speed in the equation for the 19 models. The 2020 10 speed 5.3 will perform slightly better than the previous 8 speed models but the 65 hp difference between the 6.2 and 5.3 is still very noticable.1 point

Thanks man. Ya I talked to them too, problem is that they are going full bore adding the Nav piece too which will probably drive the price to $1,699, alot to pay for $358 dollar radio. All I want is the IOS version which is everything GM offers (custom settings per user, download apps, over the air updates...) minus Nav. I will keep my fingers crossed though.1 point

Love these new 2500 AT4s. Wish they would have given it a little 1-2 inch as well. Like the ford tremor or ram power wagon.1 point

Thank you, I run Amsoil in everything and will buy one. I get the Amsoil preferred discount, I am not a distributor. I even run their oil in my tractors.1 point

Well, which would you buy? $100 for a new filter, or $100+ for a GM tech to do a half-a$$ed job of washing it out?1 point

These units are made by k&n and most likely washable as the filter is identical to the one I had for my 2015 Silverado from k&n, which was washable. Dealership just can’t wash and then let it dry for the customer, to much wasted time for them I would think so they just try to sell you a new one1 point

Looks really good! Do you know if Baja Design has these lights in Amber also?1 point

The 5.3 is more than adequate for any driving you need to do on public roads. The 6.2 is purely for fun/showing off/bragging rights. If you want to pay for the bigger engine, just do it. You don't need permission from strangers online to spend your money. But you definitely don't need a 6.2. There's a lot of things I don't need that I pay for too, but I don't regret having a 5.3 for 1 second.1 point

You have to pay for labor if you have them install it but the re tune flash is covered in the price of the CAI. I installed mine myself and took it to the dealer for a re flash only which is covered with the labor code.1 point

Thanks man, they are brighter than the last pair of LED bulbs I had in there. Here's the link... https://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-LED-License-Plate-Lights-For-2014-2018-Chevy-Silverado-GMC-Sierra-BRIGHT-SMD/223609072014?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l26491 point

Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S are what I run. Also have the mountain snowflake symbol. They perform as well as KO2's but for less $$. They also have great tread life. highly recommend.1 point

.. got my light bar all mounted up.. still need to connect the relay trigger from the high beams but everything else is wired and ready to go.. needed to take a mental break from the drivers side head light plug location before my blood pressure reached thermal runaway ?..I swear you need hands the size of a child to work on these things! Low profile bar mounts nicely to the grill Totally camouflaged from the front If you get right down and look thru the grill you can see the bar1 point

According to the display, the remote should also raise the windows with the remote, but it only lowers them when the unlock button is pressed, holding the lock button doesn't do anything. Maybe an update in the future will make this operational.1 point

You can temporarily disable the auto lock feature by opening a door and holding the unlock button on the door till the horn beeps. Really nice if you are loading/unloading the truck and don’t want it to lock every time you walk away and unlock every time you approach over and over... It’s in the manual but but I just discovered it and I think it’s awesome!1 point

Yes, and apparently when you drop the lower piece it will hit the trailer ball if installed. Gimmick junk in my option anyway.. glad I got the silverado.1 point

I was not aware of this undesirable feature. Sounds like neutral with parking brake and wheels chocked is only option. I hate having Big Brother tell me how long my car can idle.1 point
