I've said "..then I'm done" about 3 dozen times in the past 6 months. I'm come to realize I tend to lie to myself a lot, it's never done ?5 points

Got a call this week from my local dealer that they were looking to buy Silverados. I thought it was a “come trade on a new one” scam but they said there was a shortage and to give them a chance to make an offer.... so I did.... and we’ll, they made me an offer I couldn’t say no to. I bought a year ago at 16k off sticker for 34k. Sold it a year later for 41,500. ? pure craziness. It’s been awesome following the forum and posts. Thanks all!2 points

Don't turn this thread in to the Virus thread. Lets keep it pretty close to the subject as titled. "Covid19 Spare time" So no need for mask vs no mask arguments. Postive vs negative results arguments etc. I can't take another "Corona Virus" thread that endlessly repeats the same material again, and again, and again, and again.................................... If you think something is out of place, just mention to the poster in a reply. If it's really out of whack, we can remove it2 points

I wonder how many people have died because of the political games liberal leftist democrats have played with this virus? I know one thing's for certain they don't care even a little bit.2 points

So first trip pulling a 30ft travel trailer weighing approx 5k lbs plus all our crap. Used tow/haul mode and the 5.3 with 6l80 pulled beautifully. Outside temp was around 90. Transmission on highway traveling 65MPH was between 194 and 199. Most of the drive was relatively flat with some hills nothing major. After I exited the highway the temp did get to 201 on local roads that were winding with inclines and descents. Going down hills damn this trans really down shifts to hold you back. On the downshifts it will get to around 4500 RPM and several of those is where I noticed the temp spike. I do have the max tow package so I’m guessing that helps a bit. All in all I’m happy with the way it tows. Pulled 200 miles today. Going another 300 Wednesday. I got 12MPG from start to finish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I fill them up until it comes out the fill hole, never had a problem. The transfer case uses just transmission fluid, don't run anything else other than what it says too. The new HP Fluid won't be what you want. I don't know if the rear is a gasket or just RTV, often it's just RTV. Get a new gasket or use RTV again. I have a fluid pump so sucking the fluid out when it's hot is easier and less of a mess.1 point

At that weight, it's personal preference. You will be light enough that you do not need to use it. Try it; if it feels more comfortable to you, then go with it. An oversimplification, but essentially what happens is your line pressure is increased to the transmission, engine mapping/throttle is relaxed, and up shifts are longer(allows more rpm, and will hold a gear longer). Downshifts are quicker and more noticeable to increase engine braking.1 point

So this is interesting... I was just cleaning up some "residue and dust" left on the spoiler and window. I noticed what looked like a used spoiler bolt gasket in the bed. I have a tonneau cover. The item looks to be a rubber washer about the size of a nickel maybe. I called up the service writer and asked if they replaced the spoiler bolts or washers/gaskets since I found a used one in the bed yet there was nothing on my work order about these parts. He said he'd have to ask the tech and call me back. He called back and said that after talking to the tech, they always replace the gaskets when they pull the spoiler but they don't note them on the customer tickets.1 point

I have a GMC duramax. I tow a 28’ wilderness 2475BH, approx 6500lbs loaded up. Pulls great, Tons of power. Most of my towing had been on relatively flat terrain. Avg over 1000miles, 12mpg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I have a 2018 with the 6.2l and 8 speed. I had the shudder issue pretty bad. Mine was mostly the "rumble strip" experience. If I was driving at a steady speed the transmission would "load" like it was going to shift up, then never shift, which would cause the truck to feel as if it was driving over a rumble strip. It did this every minute or so. It was terribly worse when towing. Would make the truck shake pretty good. I had the service done with 22621 on the odo on Jan 21 2020 and it worked like a champ. I have ZERO issues now. It was covered under warranty, so I paid $0 for this to be done. 100% worth it in my opinion.1 point

Until recently the MY GMC app key fob was free for previous vehicles.. I used it for my 2013 with out charge. Now they want an onstar subscription to be able to use the key fob on the My GMC app. Once my 30 day trial was over , it disappeared from the app. Ridiculous on a $50K vehicle...1 point

I am going to talk to him tomorrow. My understanding is that "LPO" means the parts are sent to the dealer for them to install. Hopefully he's mistaken.1 point

This is a 3/5 drop from IHC Suspension running the factory original rims with 275/55/20’s. (They are 31.9” tall, 10.8” wide)The front rubs very slightly with passengers and the wheel turned all the way to the left only. A rubbing issue is also going to depend somewhat on the brand kit you use. If you change lower control arms, you’ll lose some turning radius with certain brands. With a bone stock GMC Sierra 1500, you should have 1-1/2 turns of the steering wheel.1 point

Not difficult at all. 2 screws holding each tail light, pop out, locate the reverse light bulb (should be the middle I believe), swap bulbs and reverse procedure. Easiest mod.1 point
