What did you do with your truck/shop today

The wife and I used the Silverado to go pick up a new member of the family. Local Animal Services was waiving the adoption fee for dogs 45 pounds or more. We saw quite a few but one really stuck out and we both knew he was the one going home with us.

Rode in dad's 2013 duramax 3500 SRW with 250,000 miles on it. Rides pretty good since he added the Rancho steering stabilizer I bought him.

Took apart the passenger rear door. Had one hell of a time getting it unlatched at the bottom. The latch was completely locked up on this side compared to the drivers side. Ordered another latch, and added sound deadner to this door too.

What kind of sound deadener is that? Kinda looks similar to the 3M undercoating I put on the rockers of my truck recently.

 

Nevermind, I see the sound deadener. What kind of spray did you use around the latch? That's what I'm curious of...

After the last rain storm that tore my road up so bad I think I broke something on the truck. I'm getting a new clunking noise while driving, doesn't do it over bumps so I don't think it's ball joints, I'm thinking it's my sway bar end links, the bushings are shot too so I'll probably replace them all so I know there all good.

I used the same paint around the latch that I used on my frame which is Chassis Saver. Then the next day I sprayed over that with flat black spray paint. Can't wait to move out of this freaking rust belt state, maybe I'll be able to make my truck survive then.
