Rock auto is the best, half the cost of any local parts store for the bearings. I needed mine bad so I ordered through rock auto but also at auto zone and returned the ones I got from rock auto to auto zone lol

Lmao! I could have done that, but Autozone didn't have one in stock. It was about the same price as Rock Auto too. Summit wanted $175 which is crazy! I got an email from RA saying it was shipped already and to expect it tomorrow.

Rock Auto is the bomb!

Drove to Casper and back. Didn't do too bad, got 18.8 mpg round trip, and was plowing the wind for most of the way.

The 6.2 is a hoot :driving:

I get to use it for what I got it for on Thursday...hauling stuff

My driver's seat would shift forward when stopping. Thanks to this site, I fixed that!

Unfortunately, found that the chrome part of the front bumper is a little wacky, so I'll need to realign that. Shouldn't be too bad.

I did you get interrogated at the border checkpoint? I couldn't believe that when I saw it coming through on I-80 in '13. Like we were entering another country. They just made eye contact and waved us through ... but WTF!

You talking about the fruit Nazis? No, and on I 15 the check point is about 100 miles over the border. Was just waved through. Was asked one time why I was in commercial lanes. I have Company name and DOT lettering on side of the truck. Wished I would of said because this lane looks faster.

It isbt boarder patrol. It is Ag department. We need to make sure things coming in are clear of pests that will harm our fruit and veg production

Got a uhaul trailer to help my friend's gf move. Loaded that trailer up, we'll load the truck up early AM when he gets off duty. I also didn't feel like driving 10+ hours to MS with the truck shaking from out of balanced tires, so I got them balanced which means if I'm lucky 2 hours of balanced tires and 18+ with them not. Hopefully I can move later tonight when it cools down and at least clean the windows and headlights off. Think I hurt my back so who knows.

Ahh gotcha - was totally different from the one I saw on I-10, 16 years ago. That one was clearly labeled as an AG checkpoint. This one in I-80 looked just like a toll booth here on the East coast, only 10x bigger. Maybe I missed the sign.

How reasonable is the pay you get doing this?

Posted

Alot of factors are involved. Pay by mile. So miles are everything. Company I work for doesn't get the high mile loads it used to. And ery seldom payed miles back.

Electronic log books come into play Dec. 2017. I think its gonna be a very dangerous to be on the roadway. It's gonna force Truck drivers to drive tired and recklessly.

I hear most big OTR companies have been using those E-logs for a while now. No way to fudge the numbers on those ...
