New-to-me '01 Suburban, rolled-back odom, need tune-up ideas

I may be a little late with a comeback to the rolled back odometer , but here it is plain and simple:

Buddy we know changes the odometers on all used vehicles from the auctions after these dealers remove the odometer and bring it to this licenced establlishment.

It is not illegal here for this technician to "adjust" the odometer as long as the vehicle is not on his lot, and the odometer is delivered to him. He is also linked to the car manufactures web via satelite and changes the reading at the source. So in a nut shell , the odometer reading can be changed back enough for warranty reasons!!!

This is no Bull shit. I can even let you know the place to send your odometer if you for any warranty reasons need be. The source is someone we know personally.

He is linked to Ford,Gm,Honda,etc.

No disrepect to your or anyone for that matter but...this sounds all kinds of wrong to me.

Clay bar your new ride. It is very bonding for you and your new vehicle. It was a drag that you were taken advantage of. I hate that. If in fact you are still trying to collect or go after the vendor, make sure you keep all your receipts and old parts. Your arbitrator may want to see these purchases. Let see a picture? Does your new Sub have BOSE?

I've got all of my receipts, no worries.

I plan on touching up the paint on the roof rack, fender liners, etc. Clay bar-ing is a great idea. I'll post some pics when I get this project a little further along.

I don't have the Bose, I have the 'premier' sound system. The radio is a little possessed; the bass will creep up and up and I have to tweak the bass dial to keep it in check.

Speaking of fender liners, the liner (if that is what is called) is missing on the driver's rear wheel well. I've looked online for a part number but can only find ones for the front. Am I missing something? Will a front fender liner (or apron, that is the correct term) fit the rear well?

It is very wrong, but the dealers are his main customers

As for the shocks/springs, how difficult are these to diagnose and replace? I have noticed that they are not "as tight" as they might should be. When going over a bump I notice a sort of "worn-out Cadillac" type of bounce.?.

How often does your air compressor for the autoride come on and how loud is it? Worst case scenario if you want to keep the autoride (as opposed to just putting in regular shocks) is to replace both the shocks and compressor for around $550 from Arnott Industries. This is the cheapest I've been able to find these parts. Check out the link:

jBlaze-- Sorry for the late replay to this. I don't think I have ever heard it kick on.

I would like to keep the autoride..I'm going to look into how to thest the compressor. It is the front shocks that I would like to replace first.

Prioritizing myslef, though, I have to take care of the A/C. Driving here in the south is no fun this time of year without it..
