Garmin GPS hard wire location

Hi guys,

 

Any suggestions on where to hardwire a GPS so that it's on when the trucks is on (and off when off)? It seems like all of the fuses that I've tried inside the truck have power that is always on. (GPS will just be mounted on dashboard)

You could try an add a fuse to the radio fuse. That should come on with the truck and turn off when you open the door. Add a fuse jumpers are cool in that you keep the fuse for the original device(in this case the radio) and as the name implies add a fuse to the device your pulling power for, Most auto parts stores have them for under ten bucks.
