What size torx bit fits the front caliper bolts. I want to make sure that I have the right one before I go and strip the thing. Wanting to replace the rotors and pads...

That's the size I was able to reference elsewhere for similiar vehicles...going to with it.

Thank you.

Low and behold, it was a T.55 should you care...

After many applications of liquid wrench penetrating oil, I am still unable to loosen these bolts. Am I missing something?

Mine were really tight. I assume we're talking about the caliper pins right? If we're talking caliper bracket bolts you might try heating them as they're loctited from the factory (and you're supposed to reapply loctite upon reinstall)

My caliper pins were really tight. You might need a breaker bar. Be sure to use caliper pin grease all over those things upon reinstall.

I just replaced one of my front calipers. I couldn't get the bolts out either. My caliper only had one piston working, which made my truck pull to one side a little. I took to my local mechanic and asked him to get it loose so I could get my EBC pads out. He ended up cutting one of the bolts to get the pads out. The heads just started to strip out when a lot of pressure applied.

You could try heating them up some, but just watch the rubber covers. I got a replacement caliper from Summit Racing for a good price. It might save your sanity to just get a new caliper. The new caliper came with regular bolt heads on the slide pins.

I ended getting them off...i soaked them overnight and applied some nice breaker bar action.

I believe Dorman makes a replacement caliper bolt with a hex head vs. the torx head. It would be a cheap swap to a bolt that is more easily removed in the future if you plan to keep your truck. I find the torx heads are easy to strip on those caliper bolts.
