I noticed a slide on another website that showed this engine making as much torque as the LS7 down to a very low RPM (like 400+ lb-ft down to 2K, about a 50 lb-ft advantage over the Ls3 at low revs). I hope that DI technology helps out in the torque department, because that will be extremely beneficial to the trucks.

I'm missing some more input regarding to the AFM.

How is the oil consumption on the new engine?

Was GM able to solve the problem or are they still trying to keep it quiet?
