2014 Toyota Tundra - New sheetmetal and interior, thats about it

It has a Ford interior and there is a "Platinum" version. Are we sure they aren't in cohorts with Ford?

Remember reading though that they have since cancelled this, may have been rumor either way.

 

The new Tundra is not something that will grow on me in terms of appearance & cannot believe they did not update/upgrade frame/suspension.

I wonder if the chrome on either side of front bumper is fake plastic - as on the Chevrolet Silverado.

Side shot isn't as bad, imho. The chrome front end goes too high, but I think it looks pretty good. FWIW, Toyota truck forum fans are *not* happy, overall... but that's not unusual

I do like how they changed the shape of the wheel wells. Looks much better than the Ford,Dodge perfectly round ones. Guess thay too ka page out of the GM book for that.

I think we're the only two who aren't crazy about the round wheel wells, everyone else seems to complain about the shape of the GM ones.

My only "complaint" on their design is that they brought the chrome up onto the hood. I don't like these newer "in your face" grills. If they had brought the paint down to the edge of the hood, then it would look better (to me, of course). The interior looks much better than what they have now. They took some good stuff from Ford, and blended it w/ their layout/switches.

I viewed the full size Toyata truck a few places before I bought my Sierra.

 

Toyota does make a Work Truck.

 

It was just none were ever seen on any dealer lot and not one salesperson knew about any Toyota Work Truck. And really didn't care to look it up.

I've seen the chrome plating thing happen to dozens of different vehicle models/brands, it isn't anything unique to these trucks or GM.

 

Only vehicals ive seen it happen to is saturn witch is a GM product and read about it on here with a GM truck.
