Ok, so to me, maybe I am wrong but BDS is the only one making a 4" suspension lift, and unfortunately is $1900! The readylift, tuff country are all "Level" kits from what I can tell. I was looking at the Fabtech 4" "lift" or "level" kit but I have read those are bad for the trucks not being a true suspension lift? Does anyone have experience with any of the 4" "level" kits?

I originally had that on the agenda but now I think it meshes well with white/black theme

Have it wrapped white, that way you won’t make it permanent, it won’t cost you a lot of money, no prep, and you can go back to the black in under a minute if you want to remove it! If you want me to photoshop it white so you can see it I can do that for you. If you want to try and wrap it yourself I can send you the vinyl too! … Just a suggestion!

Here’s a quick PS job for you to see what it looks like!

Neither of those are any good. They are a stretched out leveling kit. Your ride quality will suffer and could cause premature front end problems like ball joints, cv axle... Not saying they are a terrible kit, I'd just look into something with a full drop.

Thats not true, I have the 4" fabtech and it rides great and it drops the diff to keep factory angles. The fabtech 4" is a great lift.

It is a true suspension lift, I have it on my truck and it rides great and keeps factory angles by dropping the diff. I have no idea why everyone is calling it a glorified leveling kit. It was a complex install and that's why i paid a shop to do it, its not a leveling kit by any means.

This is mine with the Fabtech 4" lift, I did a lot of research and I couldn't be happier with the Fabtech 4".

I think the look and size of that 4" Fabtech, it is the perfect lift IMO. I was worried because some call it a level kit?.

Fabtech 4" lift angles...

Thanks bud. They are not the greatest (tie-rod ends) but they are definietly not horrible as I've seen far worse. How are you like the ride so far. Is it super stuff in the front?

Do the upper A-arms hit the bump stops when the wheels are in a downward travel?

Posted

It rides great, I have no complaints at all. That's with trail grapplers too, and if it has hit the bump stops I haven't noticed it. Its very smooth, I'd compare it to stock other than the mud tires making it not quite as smooth.

What size are those tires? Looks great. Makes me want to get it now. But I'm trying so hard to keep myself from doing it until the warranty goes out

I had the Rough Country levelling kit installed a while back. 2 1/2" front and 1" back. Looks great.

One question for anyone that did this, do you need to adjust your headlight aiming? Appears to be a little high.

Thanks,

Rick
