2014+ Suspension Lifts

Getting ready to get mine done. Just wondering if this quote is on par with what everyone paid for their wheels, tires, and lift? When I put 26" rims with 305/30/26" tires and 2" drop shackles on my '14, I paid $2500. This is a different shop though.

It's all releative...here's how I'd break down your quote if I was making this happen

$750 Tuff Wheels shipped w/ lugs off eBay

$1,500 33" Toyo MTs shipped on eBay (didn't even search elsewhere so there are probably better deals)

$60 Mount/Balance - What my local shop charges

$450 3.5" RCX w/ Control Arms - Your's doesn't specify - I wouldn't pay somebody to install something I can do myself

$2,760 versus your $4,059.38 (including taxes)

you asked for opinions, my .02 for what it's worth is I'd love to be on the shop end of your deal

Awesome looking truck Steve! What lift is that? What is your wheel offset? 35" tires? Did u have to remove the rear forward mudflaps or just do it for looks?

Would love to know what size/offset those Rockstars are and what tires... looks killer!

Tires are 305/55/20 copper Zeon ltz tires, with 20x10 and a - 24 offset

How much noise do those Cooper Zeons make on the highway?

Anyone added rancho quicklift or bilstein ride height? I have 2" rough country and when I hit bumps it feels like it bounces. I'm looking for a more secure leveling/lift kit that rides smooth while towing or off roading? Any suggestions

Hey guys, this may have been previously addressed, but does a leveling kit void the warranty at all?

I know the dealerships now offer lift kits and leveling kits, but if you do the install yourself will you run into problems at the dealership?

No. Aftermarket parts cannot void a warranty due to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. The only way that a dealership can legally deny you warranty service is if they can prove that the issue you are experiencing has been caused by the aftermarket part itself.

Also if you have a dealership that really denies you service because of a leveling kit, then you really need to find another dealership to work with. Dealership by my house sucks. They hate anything aftermarket cause they do more buick than GMC. But a dealership near where I go to school is awesome. They don't care if you come in with a truck that is completely aftermarket. They will still work on it under warranty

Last question I've got is I had the TGC 2.5" leveling kit on my 08 Silverado and had no problems with that kit and it seemed to sit pretty level. I was thinking about going with that kit, but it seems everyone, or most of everyone is going with the RC kit w/ the taller rear block. Is there a reason RC stands out more for this truck than others or is it just personal preference? Also I had the factory block on my silverado. With a 2.5" on these new trucks is it going to have rake or squat with the factory block? I'm just confused as to why everyone is going with a taller block in the rear.

Personal preference and with the rough country 2.5 kit then you have the option to add the rear block but you do not have to. The truck will sit level with just the 2" spacer up front. The 2" block ( which adds 1" compared to stock) will retain some rake, which some prefer to have.

So in general, it's just personal preference and with how much it is talked about on here, a lot of people go with it. I had the dealer level mine and they used a skyjacker level kit for an 07-13 1500. Works just the same as the RC for 14' or any other 14' level kit. Also the RC lift has a good price for the option.

But if you already found a kit you like, there's no reason not to go with that if you would rather go a route you've already gone.

Ok great thanks for that. I guess I'll just roll with the flow and go with the RC kit. It's really not a bad price for the level and rear block. That way if I do decide to add the block I'll have it.

I hope Im the right Steve you were talking about lo l if so the lift is a 7" Rough Country and the wheels are 18x10 -24 offset and yes 35s. I am not sure if I would have to remove the mud flaps as I removed them when it was only a few days old haha I don't like mud flaps lol

I did the Rough Country lift. 2.5, it was the 1/2 inch spacer on top of shock and then the 2 inch U shaped piece that moves the bottom shock up. No rear block change. Its all stock. My truck measures almost level front and back. 39.7 front and 40 inch in center wheel well in the back. This is a picture front stock to leveled to 295/55/20 tires. I also have a YouTube video to show my lift.

What kind of mpg are you seeing with the 7" on 35s?

What kind of mpg are you seeing with the 7" on 35s?

With the basic Diablo Tune I was seeing 17 mpg and if on a flat interstate up to 21mpg.

Im playing more with my custom tuning from Lew so right now its a bit low but am working on finding the right spot to give me more power but with the mpg too
