I have a 2015 gmc serria z71 4x4 with factory 22.

how far can i raise the truck without doing long term damage to drive train ?

I dont want to have to cut or mod anything

I as looking at Supreme Suspensions - Chevy GM Silverado Sierra 1500 3.5" Front + 3" Rear Full Lift Kit PRO

its not how far you lift it, it's the method you use that will cause damage

To my guys with 6 inch+ lifts.... how much did you guys adjust your lights down? I haven't done mine yet and am getting flashed nightly. I wish I had thought to take a measurement on the headlight cut-off line before the lift. I love the factory LED headlights in the trucks, but Im sure the people on the opposite end of them feel differently.

To be fair, my truck is 100% stock currently and I get flashed several times per week by people who think my high beams are on.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a good amount of satisfaction by letting them see what the brights really do look like.

Haha for sure! It's really sweet with a bright ass light bar!

Yeah it rubs because you got a -44 offset. The close the offset to stock ~+23 the bigger the tire you'll be able to fit without rubbing. I have a BDS 4" with 35x 12 tires on stock 20's with no rubbing or trimming. Fuel mavericks are sick wheels but try a less aggressive offset [emoji1303] I literally had 305/55r20 Toyos on a 2" level and barely rubbed the sway bar at full lock.

I have Fuel 20x10's with -24 offset and the shop did a decent amount of cutting and trimming, and it still rubs at full lock. If you don't want it to rub then you're going to need a lot less aggressive offset wheel and/or cut and trim a lot.

That looks like way more, I think I may do that! Get the RC 2.5 kit and add the body lift later on. Did you add the body lift later on or do it all at once? Did you need to cut anything like you do in 3.5" lifts?

No cutting at all and rides like stock. I did the 2.5 first and the body a couple weeks later. I have pictures of it all in my build page

Do you think you would be able to clear the Nitto Trail Grappler 305/55r20 with your current set up?

Thanks for your help

I guessing you already know by now but yes you can, I'm currently running 305/55r20 with Cooper Discoverer MTP.

with that lift and 305s you really can't go wider than a x10 and even then you'll probably run a tad. As aberclaw said when it comes to tire fitment wheel width/offset is key

    • Atlas,   Then following your logic we can't believe any story that the MSM produces? I mean it's documented they heavily donate to Democrat candidates. Vote Democrat in high percentages. Many MSM talents are married to Democrat politicians, Gov. employees. That goes for on-air and off, personalities and reporters. So they would all be biased and nothing they produce is to be believed in your mind?   Again the article simply was about ways AI can be used for pricing products. Nothing discounted current situations as a factor.    Again keep looking through your left/right lenses. I don't live my life that way.   And as a heads up this thread will be cleaned up again as much of this is off topic and is receiving
    • Yes, and only a couple years before delivery. 🙄
    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
