Got an odd question I asked in another thread but this place is more appropriate I think.

 

If I lift my truck 4" will the truck actually stand a true 4" higher or is there some sort of "settling" that takes place and it may sit lower?

 

I'm trying to figure out exactly how tall my truck will stand.

 

Stock it is 74" then if I add 35's (that is 3.5" taller than my current tires), then a 4.5" lift the truck should stand 82" high...is that correct or am I addding something wrong?

 

Just bought a new sierra, debating on lvl/33's or 4.5" lift/35's for garage fitment. Garage is 80-81" high.

Exact height could vary depending on wheel width and how much air you run in the tire. I can tell you with a 6" Lift and 35's I clear my garage just fine with a 7ft door.

Any chance u know the exact height to the top of your truck(shark fin)?

My trucks front fenders was 36 inch stock. A 2 inch rcx level raised it to 38 inches and a 2 inch taller tire raised it to 39.

You have to remember you split the tire height difference in half.

That being said I took the level out. Using the same tire I put in and rcx 5 inch kit. My front fenders now sits at 42 3/4 after settling. That means I got 5 3/4 inches out of a 5 inch kit. You can't trust what they are claiming the lift size to be.

I even emailed rcx because of lift laws around here and stated it was true 5 inch kit. Before settling it was 6 1/4 inches higher. I sat in the bed of my truck and my wife drove it out of the garage. I clear the 7 ft door by maybe 3 inches

Would it be possible for you to take a shot down the side so I can see how far they stick out? This is the same setup I am looking to get, but am unsure of how far they will stick out.

Perfect! Thanks a lot. They don't stick out as far as I thought.

Yeah not terrible, but I picked up a pair of fender flares for mine. Going to install them this weekend. They definitely stick out enough to chuck some big rocks at the side mirrors, lol.

Gentlemen,

 

I'm in the market for a lift on my 2015 Silverado 1500 4x4 and wanted to see if anyone has used the 4.5" Zone suspension lift with 33's yet? I tried looking thru the entire thread but 149 pages is pretty extensive. My last truck was a 2011 Silverado with a 3.5" X 1.75" suspension lift on 33's. I had the 20" x 9" KMC XD Cranks with zero offset running 305/55/R20 Trail Grapplers and ran into some rubbing issues turned in reverse. That being said, I was hoping the 4.5" would help with that. I haven't decided on the wheel just yet, but i do know I want to continue with the same tire as before. Any suggestions on offsets that would fit for possibly a 20" X 10" at most.

Alright question of the day...

I know that a 35/12.5R20 fits on a stock wheel with a 6'' lift, but will a 37"?

It might,

 

I saw a sierra a few days a go with a procomp lift on the stock AT wheels running 37s....probably rubs like a mofo ...I didnt ask the guy but man it looked sick. Didn't have my phone on me to take a picture.

How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.

      New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
