It might,

 

I saw a sierra a few days a go with a procomp lift on the stock AT wheels running 37s....probably rubs like a mofo ...I didnt ask the guy but man it looked sick. Didn't have my phone on me to take a picture.

 

Thanks for the reply, I figured that question flew into outer space and therefore would never be answered. Yeah I think I'm going to end up have to do some serious measuring to decide it they would fit.

I actually walked up to it..... It was deff running 37x12.5x20s toyo MTs but it was a tad dark and didnt want to bust out the flashlight and look under it and get shot at

Who if anyone is running 22x14s on 37 inch tires on a 2014 Silverado. What size lift. I have a 7.5 and a 1.5 body lift before I mount my tires I wanna make sure it will fit

Gentlemen,

 

I'm in the market for a lift on my 2015 Silverado 1500 4x4 and wanted to see if anyone has used the 4.5" Zone suspension lift with 33's yet? I tried looking thru the entire thread but 149 pages is pretty extensive. My last truck was a 2011 Silverado with a 3.5" X 1.75" suspension lift on 33's. I had the 20" x 9" KMC XD Cranks with zero offset running 305/55/R20 Trail Grapplers and ran into some rubbing issues turned in reverse. That being said, I was hoping the 4.5" would help with that. I haven't decided on the wheel just yet, but i do know I want to continue with the same tire as before. Any suggestions on offsets that would fit for possibly a 20" X 10" at most.

I am running the zone 4.5" lift. I am running 295/70/18s (34.5" tall) with no rubbing issues at all. my wheels are 18x9 0+ offset. so i think you should be fine running the 33's. and i don't think they did anything to my driveline when they installed...but i'm not 100%.

Thanks for the reply and picture. Great looking truck man... Do you have any side pictures by chance to show how far the tires stick out? I spoke with Zone directly yesterday and they stated that the driveline modification is referring to those that run AWD at high rates of speeds (60+) due to the possible vibration from the driveshaft. They suggested a double cardan/dual cardan joint to help relieve this vibration. Those that only use 4WD when needed a slower speeds will not see a large difference. The only time I expect to run at high rates is when it snows down here and I'm running on the highway. If I notice a difference then I'll do some more investigating on the double cardan joint.

Yeah, I live in GA.....so no high speed 4-wheeling in the snow for me, so i apologize but i can't give you insight on that part.

 

i'd say the tires stick from the fenders about 2"- 2.5". I used a 1.5" wheel spacer on each rear wheel so they match the track at the front. here are the pics along the side.

I am very confused as what lift I should get installed. I am only looking for a max of 5 inches of lift. I want to run stock wheels right now so my options are zone 4.5, rc 5 bracket, and rc knuckle. What are the advantages or disadvantages of a bracket vs. knuckle type lift? I realize the track will increase but is that the only good or bad thing. What lift would you recommend here? Thanks for any help.

Knuckle lift is easier to install and usually cheaper if you are comparing the same brand. Your wheel will stick out beyond the fender and you will have to run rear spacers in the rear if you want it to match.

The bracket lift will keep all of your stock angle and stock track.

Basically the way I look at it is my truck looks like it is 2500 HD that is maybe an inch taller. It looks like something the factory could build and is not overstated. I could not get away with a lot of the set up a that people run on here in Massachusetts

Technically I am illegal now. But looking stock brings no attention.

Thanks for the explanation and makes allot of sense. It just seems but only a couple companies make the bracket lift so I wasn't sure what why that is. I do prefer to keep the track as close to stock and maybe go with 295/60 tires. Do you think they will fit without spacers with your lift.

15green, going from a stock tire( assuming you had a 31 inch to start) to a 34 inch.. Is there a noticeable difference in power loss? Meaning effectively running a 3.12 now vs 3.42? with stock tires

    • Have considered installing a DC to DC charger in your camper to replace your isolator?  
    • Common failure.  You need to replace the fuel door housing.   The painted cover transfers over to the new housing.  To remove the old one there is 4 spots where you poke the plastic to release it.  
    • No such thing as regenerative braking on a pure ICE vehicle.     Regenerative braking is the re-capture of energy from electric motors and stores it in the battery pack.  So hybrids, PHEV and EVs have regenerative braking.     What you are seeing is the charging system changing modes is all.  Its likely entering charge mode for some sort of reason is all.  All of the charging modes will be listed below.   As for L10 vs D.  L10 turns off automatic grade braking.  L10 puts you in control of grade downshifts where in D it will automatically do it based on brake pedal position and other factors.  Otherwise L10 and D drive exactly the same aside from that one aspect.    Battery Sulfation Mode The BCM will enter this mode when the interpreted Generator output voltage is less than 13.2 V for 45 minutes. When this condition exists the BCM will enter Charge Mode for 2–3 minutes. The BCM will then determine which mode to enter depending on voltage requirements.   Charge Mode The BCM will enter Charge Mode when ever one of the following conditions are met:   Windshield wipers are ON for more than 3 s. Climate Control Voltage Boost Mode Request is true, as sensed by the HVAC control module via serial data. High speed cooling fan, rear defogger, and HVAC high speed blower operation can cause the BCM to enter the Charge Mode. The estimated battery temperature is less than 0°C (32°F). Battery State of Charge is less than 80%. Vehicle speed is greater than 145 km/h (90 mph) A current sensor malfunction exists. System voltage is determined to be below 12.56 V When any one of these conditions is met, the system will set targeted generator output voltage to a charging voltage between 13.9–15.5 V, depending on the battery state of charge and estimated battery temperature.   Fuel Economy Mode The BCM will enter Fuel Economy Mode when the estimated battery temperature is at least 0°C (32°F) but less than or equal to 80°C (176°F), the calculated battery current is less than 15 A and greater than −8 A, and the battery state-of-charge is greater than or equal to 80%. Its targeted generator output voltage is the open circuit voltage of the battery and can be between 12.5–13.1 V. When fuel economy mode is active, the generator is not charging, only maintaining open circuit battery voltage. The BCM will exit this mode and enter Charge Mode when any of the conditions described above are present.   Headlamp Mode The BCM will enter Headlamp Mode when ever the head lamps are ON (high or low beams). Voltage will be regulated between 13.9–14.5 V.   Start Up Mode When the engine is started the BCM sets a targeted generator output voltage of 14.5 V for 30 s.   Tow/Haul Mode (if applicable) Pressing the Tow/Haul Mode button located on the center stack, the vehicle system voltage is raised and the remote (non-vehicle) battery will be charged. Having the headlamps on will raise the system voltage and if the Tow/Haul button is applied it will not serve any purpose. The voltage is regulated between 13.9-14.5 V.      
    • Hello from Australia Just sharing that there is now a way to delete the active shutters entirely with just a plug in module. Opens up tons of room to light bars etc.
    • I have an observation and a question... 1) I watch the voltage closely because I have had to dial in the cut-in/cut-out voltages of the battery separator to my camper.  The "smart" charging drives me nuts.  Anyway, I noticed that when coasting for a while, and especially if lightly using the brakes (though not necessary), the voltage goes up from mid/high-13 volts to mid/high-14 volts.  Then it drops back down after stopping or going again.  Consistently!   The only explanation I can come up with is REGENERATIVE BRAKING!  Well, maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration, but it's certainly free extra battery charging.   2) Driving on mountain roads I will use L and vary the max gear.  Things straighten out and I end up in L10.  Sometimes I leave it there for a while.  Is there any difference between L10 and D?
