Apologies, but you are incorrect for anything 2017 related. SBL does not have data on 2017 Sierra or Silverado because I called them myself and they have nothing.

I would also like to know if anyone has this info on what the replacement LED bulbs are for a 2017 GMC Sierra SLT so I could change the following lights out myself.

Reverse lights

Plate lights

Cargo Lights

I just checked the link again, and you are correct, NOT for the 2017. My bad...

Time to upgrade the reading glasses, LOL.

Thanks again the Phillips 194 arrived yesteday and can confirm they work perfectly in a 2017 for plate lights. Eagerly awaiting the two sets of Phillips 921 and 1N4004 diodes to arrive.

I bought the Philips 194 for the plate and 921 for the cargo area and reverse lights. Huge difference. They look great!

I was tired of buying these knock off brand rigid and hearing that all brands are the same. So i sucked it up and spend the money on Rigid and my god, there is a true difference in quality and craftsmanship. My rigid reverse lights are so bright that even when i back up during the day i see people covering there eyes.

Just installed DDM Tuning H11 LED Bulbs, 36W, Pair, White. Installation was very quickly and painless for the driver side lowbeam. Passenger side was a bit for difficult and took more time, i had to unscrew the 4 bolts for the air intake cap and was able to push that aside. I recommend to those who drive Chevys 1500s 2014+ to also purchase resistors for your kit. Because Chevy have daytime running lights, the resistor will trick the computer to thinking that you still have halogen bulbs.

with 16+ models, will i need can-bus bulbs? my 15 silverado i used regular LED in plate and cargo lights, with no issues. Curious if the 16 is the same since I've heard otherwise.

How is the output on the LED's? I have been looking at getting some Diode Dynamics H11 bulbs for low beams, but am not sure how they would do in reflector housings and how the cutoff would be. Dont want to blind everyone

The light output is amazing. I can drive around at night on a back road and dont have to turn on my high beams. I rarley have people flash there lights at me and those who do are typically old people. The light looks very clean in the housing and ive had them on for about 3 months so far and have not had one issue.

The reflective signs are noticeable now from a greater distance and in my opinion the whiter light is brighter. I live in a rural area and have no problems spotting critters on the side of the road and believe the whiter light helps in that respect also.

Just changed mine out today.... with the same ones no tyme suggested. Much whiter- pia one the pass side for to remove the dust covers and I have a k&n so it was easier but still a pain. Hope they last I've read they only last a few months

ok, so 17 Silverado, is the 3rd brake light a 194 and cargo are 921? Canbus bulb?

I have canbus 921's in all 3 sockets up there. 921's for reverse lights also.

 

Just FYI, I'm waiting on some 7443's for the brake lights. I'll post back here if they work.

I have a 2017 LTZ, let me know about the tail lights, will you need resistors?

      Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....

      Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!

      From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

      Recently acquired new 2026 Silv. 1500 WT  - L3B + 4WD,  std cab + std bed, in (duh!) Sierra White. Upgrades: replaced 'steelies' w/  Vision "Flow" black alloys,  17x8.5"; HDX nerf bar w/steps (black powdercoat); Weatherguard large/deep alloy saddle toolbox; Michelin fitted bedmat (sale, perfect fit) Weathertech door sill guards TBD: rear wheebox liners 4x black fender arch trim - searching for best  (Putco: chrome only; not looking for flares either!) -Bill

      True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
