This is the kit you want. No need for the CANBUS.

MOPAR LOW BEAM: MORIMOTO ELITE HID SYSTEM

Ballasts - 3Five DSP

Harness Type - HD Relay 9012

Bulbs – 3Five 4,300 ( best match for factory Sierra DRL ?)

Capacitor Link

This is the kit I'm running. I called to order my kit from TRS and they told me what I needed. No Canbus required. Capacitor link is required.

^ I am lost at this thread, Glad I've bought a Chevy.. haha :D

From what I under stand. The SLT and Denali model might not need the Canbus since their DRL is using LED instead of the low beam.

The SLE and lower model might need the Canbus to run full power because there DRL using low beam as the power source.

The Canbus is just preventing the buzzing noise and flickering issues.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll get the Canbus if I was you, just for a piece of mind. If it doesn't need it,you can always resale them to the member on here.. ;)

Guys running a canbus harness were experiencing buzzing of the relays. The TRS guys recommended using a capacitor link instead of the canbus harness. It works on mine.

FWIW I have a SLE model and did not use the Canbus. I have no buzzing and the lights work flawlessly.

I got the 3 five 4300 kit with can bus for my 14 sierra all terrain all plug and play no issues. Install took close to 1 hour. I tried another kit before immediately got a check light. I'm happy with the setup. Easiest install.

Everything was plug and play?

Yes

I didn't think they made anything plug and play for the Sierra. That's what I need

Unless I did something wrong. But it was plug and play. No splicing and has been running flawless going on 3 weeks.

It's an easy install. The only "non plug n play" items are you do need to drill holes in the back of the headlight housing covers for the wires, you'll need to find a +12V source and a decent ground location if you use the HID relay harness (and I recommend you do). I wouldn't consider these items plug n play, but they are also very, very easy. A novice should have no difficulty whatsoever.
