Here's mine. 2.5 kit with 275/70/18s

I want to get the same setup that you have but I'm worried that the ride may get a lot rougher. Hows the ride compared to stock?

I am anxiously awaiting for my 3/4" leveling spacers (resultant elevation of 1-1/2" in the front).

Now, some folks have been talking about tires, and my question is; is there a way to tell the computer that the tire diameter has changed? I have suspected that folks experience mileage loss on a bigger tire may be due to not accounting for it in the speedo and therefore the trip calculator shows a drop. The reason I say this is that when a 31" tire travels 5280 feet, it gets there in 650 revolutions, but a 33" tire gets there in 611 revolutions (not accounting for slippage or bumps on the road).

So a truck with the smaller fires would still be traveling when the one with the big tires completed the mile.

Is my logic sound?

Logic is sound. But no, there isn't currently a way to recalibrate the computer.

To keep this on track. Here is my truck. Pics are potato quality.

Hopefully the truck will be going up an inch in the front soon with 20x10s and 285/55s.

Bought a 2014 GMC Sierra v8 4wd SLT/z71 a Couple of weeks ago and Im looking to put a 2" to 2.5" leveling kit on it and I have a few questions.

1) I want it to be as level as possible, therefore what adjustments (if needed) would need to be made on the rear?

2) In the future I want to puchase 33" tires. What would be the biggest tire I could buy on stock 18" wheels without ANY rubbing? (265/65r18 stock tire size)

3) Any brand suggestion on the leveling kit?

I am pretty new to all of this so sorry for the unintelligent questions.

None

275/70r18 (tallest, not widest)

Any will do. I went with Rough County's and have no complaints. Zone, Readylift and TGC are other options off the top of my head. All do the same thing with the same parts.

Not unintelligent at all. They've just been asked and answered 10,000 times lol Edited by 14x4

One thing is you could get a replacement strut/spring set up to level also, I'm looking in Fox shocks to level to keep a nice ride.

I am also looking at Fox, I had the non res 2.5 coil overs on my last truck. But now I just don't know if I want them again or maybe try the king OEM performance coilovers ...!

Anyway you can grab a picture from the front so I can see the stance of +18. Just ordered tires today still trying to decide on rims. Great looking truck BTW you have the same truck as me, and you just sold me on the black rims.

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I could not find a thread dedicated to tires, but I knew they were being discussed a bit in here. :)

No worries it happens, i end up talking about tires/wheels in here just as much in there. This thread usually has more activity.

For those of you with 1.5-2" of level, what max diameter tire are you able to clear? I'm thinking 34" would be the max limit with trimming, 33 with little to no trimming, and 32.5 with no trimming.

As for thickness i think with stock offset 11.5 is going to be max.

I found 295/60/20 Trail Graps for 260$ a tire new. Incredible price honestly.

Ok guys I'm getting confused on offsets.

I'm going to order wheels and I can't decide on 0mm or 12mm offset, will have a 2.5in level with 295/55/20s.

IS 12mm more in or out?
