Bennngeeee Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Here's another picture. As to why well I'm from California and here it's a style. What works for us might not work for others and what works for others might now work for us. The good ol California Baja cut.
xelli Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 It's going to be a daily driver as well, only pulling a trailer on some weekends. Just looking to level it for the rest of the time You must have ordered the max tow for a reason - why do you want to muck it up ?
Daryl LBZ Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 A 2 inch leveling kit would probably make it almost level unloaded. I'd probably do a 1" or 1.5" level if your planning on towing a trailer on weekends.
Mi99z71 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Rear didn't look any higher on mine. I went with the RC 2" fron tleveling kit with the additional 1" in the rear So then you have a 2" block on the rear now then? You got any pic's? I've been thinking about doing this, 2" in front, and a 2" block in the rear. I have a 15' CCSB 5.3 NHT
Shawn_s Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 You must have ordered the max tow for a reason - why do you want to muck it up ? To be totally honest I don't really NEED the max tow package but I plan on keeping the truck for a while so I wanted to be prepared. And I liked the idea of the bigger rad, bigger rear end and 3.73s. And the dealer was going to charge almost as much to put tow mirrors on a truck they had on the lot. I do still want to level is and I'll just put up with a saggy ass end when I do pull a trailer
xelli Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 And the dealer was going to charge almost as much to put tow mirrors on a truck they had on the lot. The tow mirrors alone are almost worth the price of admission. Towing or not - I do love mine. 1

lockey14s Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) Finally got some tires on. 285\60r20 duratracs. I didn't think they would rub but they do on the sway bar at full lock. Going to put on .25 spacers to see if it helps. Lift is 2.5 rc in front and 1.75 block in back. I'm thinking about going back to the stock block and putting on a 1.5 body lift but I can't decide Edited February 29, 2016 by lockey14s
skallywag Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Hey guys new to the forum but been reading since september when i bought my 2015. Did the rc 2.5" "lift" level with blocks is all. Love the ride and height. Removed the airdam as well. Im currently torn between 305/55r20 cooper st max or 17x8.5 0 offset xd grenades black and 285/70r17 goodyear mtr w/kevlar My question is what trimming will need to be done. I do a ton of offroad driving and quite a bit of that is alone and unafraid so i need some better grip vs the factory slick tricks. Ive read my eyes tired. Help is apprecoated. Some nice rigs on here.

Some nice rigs on here. As far as Ive read, you will have no trouble with rubbing with the 17's 0 offset and the 285/70s. I cant speak for the 305/55r20's. I even went up an inch and I only had to pull the liners back with a zipty
skallywag Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Thanks! Ya it seems its about 70/30 no rub vs rub with the sierras and the rc 2.5" level 1

Some nice rigs on here. Hi I have a set of 17x8.5 0 offset Method NVs with 285/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs. No rub going forward at full turn but slight rub going back at full turn. I now have the Fox coilovers set at 2.5 inch high. I used have the RC 2.5 inch kit. Same thing. Slightly more + offset or higher lift should help. Or do what Daniel says. I am going to do that. rintintin Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Anybody use the Fox coilovers for their lift? Any feedback? I know they are more expensive than the Bilsteins, but which is the better way to go, if the price does not matter? I have the 2.5 Fox coilovers and 2.5 shocks in the back. Street bumps feel almost nothing. I was going at 50-60mph at river washes in the middle of a desert. It gives you a precise handling at high speeds. Also, you can take the system off and take it to the Fox factory for an overhaul. It was very expensive but I decided to do it since it was going to be my first and last brand new truck in my life. I am getting more than I expected. Im sorry for my bad English...
skallywag Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Rintintin can you post up a pictire or 2? Down the side and profile pic.
jrob56 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Rintintin can you post up a pictire or 2? Down the side and profile pic. Like to see the same, checked his gallery but not good angles of stance and wheels/tires.
