What brand of rubber did you go with? I can't quite tell by the pictures? I like the look of the 17's and I'm thinking about going with 285's for my next set of tires.

I ended up using the Mastercraft Wildcat A/T 2s I had on my 2008 sierra. over all a very good tire. great on snow, mud, gravel, and pavement. Still havnt gotten around to painting wheel lips to match my new truck lol. But I am very happy with my tire choice, and for a cheaper tire they have done very well. If I don't go to a mud terrain, I will be putting these back on.

as you can see, the only downside is they aren't very aggressive looking

Really nice looking truck!

New to the site but I have a 2015 tungsten and I'm putting the 2" RC level on next week, thinking about going with the ProComp 32 Series 17x9 with 285/75/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers

Any quick recommendations for which particular brand or size of leveling kit I should go with on my new 2016 Sierra Denali?

I'm still unsure of any drawbacks to a leveling kit due to the magnetic suspension. Is this a concern? I just want the front brought up to where the rear is... flat and level. Thanks!!

I am in the same boat with my 2015 Denali. I am hearing Suspension Maxx is the only kit right now specifically made for the magnetic ride? I am wanting about 2" of lift so that I still have a little rake.

No clearance issues. No power issues, but I also added a CAI, exhaust, and a Diablo Tuner. My highway MPG with the BFGs and level was still at about 20mpg after the other additions. I actually no longer have these tires because the two rear ones got cut pretty badly (rocks on a trail I assume). For my new set, I chose to go with Nitto G2 285/75r18 (much better warranty with this size of tire), still have the stock wheels. For my next set, I will go wider as I liked the way the wider tires looked.

The Nitto G2 285/75r18 is almost a 35" tire! I don't think I have come across anyone running that size with a level. Do you have any pictures of your truck with that tire on it?

Who do you all recommend installing the leveling kit? I imagine the dealer is going to overcharge. I'm going with the RC 2.5" and will be having 285/65/18's put on at the same time so I'm looking for an alignment and headlight adjustment as well.

DIY the level, it's easy enough.

I put the the Bilstein adjustables on in addition to the level and set the Bilsteins on the highest setting and added a 3" rear block (as opposed to the 1.25" rear block). So I have about 3.75" of lift up front and 1.75" in the rear. I'll put some pics up once I get home from work.

Posted in a different post but came across this thread so I thought I'd post here as well

I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 4x4 with the V6. Love the truck but it looks like a 2x4. I am planning on installing the RC 2" leveling kit and putting Nitto Terra Grappler G2 p285/70/17 on it soon.

The truck came with 255/70/17. I'm wondering if this is a good choice. I'm not going to do a lot of off road stuff (maybe some hunting/fishing/camping trips where 4x4 is needed) but mainly wanting to give it a beefier look.

With the 2" level kit will I have any issues with rubbbing? Will that tire fit my factory rims? I'd love to have new rims but can't spring for everything all at once

Thanks

Ok I'm sure it's been beat to death but I have a 15 GMC all terrain and want to add the 2.5 RC leveling kit. But I'm having a problem with the size of tires I want. Thinking of the KO2s but unsure of the size. Option 1- ko2s 275-65-20s or option 2- the 285-65-20s? liking the 275-65-20s but would like them a little wider. Would I have a clearance issues or rubbing issues with the 285s? From what I understand is the 275s are 34.1 and 10.8 wide and the 285s are 34.6 and 11.2 wide. Any and all advice much appreciated. (On stock AT wheels) any and all pics would be great as well Thanks again

This has been discussed at least 1,000 times. Look in the tire/wheel section of the forum, everything you need to know about tire & wheel combinations and fitment will be there.

I don't run 20s, so I can't help you, but there are hundreds of posts about those exact sizes. Look up the KO2 thread.

I would not recommend going to the dealer. I happen to have a local shop that will do my RC 2" install for about a buck 50 including the alignment. I would just recommend doing a little research in your area. But if you have the time you can always DIY, from what I understand its a pretty straight forward install.

Anyone recommend any shops in south Louisiana to install lifts?

How far south?

I'm in BR. Actually called two places yesterday asking for some estimates to level my truck.

AMR Automotive and Kirks.

Both are around $350 for parts, install, and tire alignment. For what it's worth, I will probably be going in the next week or so to one of these to get it done.

    • I have never seen GM instructions for the other trucks as per the HD with the 6 speed or the half tons but had got the impression that the HD trucks with the 6 speed were not having the same problem that the 10 speed and pan presented. Also video that I have seen of the HD 10 speed with the gas engine starting in 2024 model year showed that it was a real struggle to even make it work when pulling down hard on the exhaust after undoing the exhaust hanger bracket on the side of the transmission as after all there is little room for the pipe to even go down behind the Y joint as it soon would hit a frame cross member. Also that they had tried just like I did with the gasket off and no way was that pan coming out any way they tried to manipulate the pan. From that as well as the local transmission shop talking about the pain in the rear issue, I was not expecting my pan to come out because GM shows it was not even intended to come out without dealing with the exhaust piping.    It would be nice to claim, here's what you do and its easy to remove the pan guaranteed on any HD truck with the gas 10 speed but dollars to donuts the next guy trying what I did would not have the same luck as the exhaust was just manufactured slightly different and be pissed off at my claim that the pan comes out with no issue. Its more of a try and see if your particular truck might work like mine did .... or not !.
    • Sorry I didn't see this until now, but it works on both the 6 speed and 10 speeds, as well as all the half tons too.
    • Hello, I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 that I recently changed both motor mounts on due to the driver's side being blown out. After replacement I seem to have a steady vibration that I can feel in the pedals and the back of the seat. At this point I'm convinced that the aftermarket "Anchor" branded mounts I used are not performing as well as OE, the only real reason I ended up using the mounts in question was because my local dealers were out a few months to get a Driver's side mount. I've tried "Neutralizing" the mounts according to the motor mount TSB published for these truck to no avail. My trans mount is also in great shape and seems to be absorbing vibrations swimmingly. As far as I can tell there is no issues idling, my idle RPM is steady and I've recently put GM plugs and wires on, however, I have not cleaned the throttle body or intake valves. Any one else have a similar experience with aftermarket mounts? Patience certainly is a virtue that I wish I exercised here. Thank you!
    • I still saw people out for runs, on their bikes/motorcylces, jeeps with the doors off driving around here the past 2 days. I guess we are just used to it here haha.   Tasted like a bonfire the last 2 days.
    • The TCM has to be flashed before it can drive.   If you installed it the way it is, it has the OS (operating system/program) from the 2010 truck you got it from. That will not match with the VIN/OS pair that your 2013 truck has.   You can do the full install. Then tow it to a dealership and they can flash the trucks PCM/TCM with the latest program for your VIN.
