This is pretty good info, thanks, so... of the two of you, one with 2" with still a little rake, and one with 2.5" and a little nose high, I'm pretty sure I should be good right in the middle with my 2.25" installed. Going to run 275/60R20 Toyo Open Country AT2's come next spring. Thanks for the feedback!

Yea I'd say that's fairly accurate. Should be very close to dead level. Is that what you're going for?

My Truck with a Rough Country 2" Level. I Still have 1" of rake, anyone on the fence that wants a true level I think you need to go with the 2.5" kit.

I was a little unhappy at first based on measurements, but I don't think it's that noticable and I think it looks pretty good. Hopefully once I get some new tires and rims it will beef it up a bit.

Yeah, I'm trying to get as close to level as possible. I'm one of those guys that doesn't need a truck really but bought one anyways because it was cheaper than the GM mid sized SUV's with a V6. I don't tow or haul anything heavy, ultimately I want to use it offroad more than anything so likely going to remove the lower valence to get a little better approach angle.

Yeah exactly. Right now I want to venture out to some trails but its so low on the front end I'm worried about hurting stuff which is kind of par for the course when offroading but still, might as well try to mitigate it. And I like the stance of a leveled truck.

Has anyone had problems with the RC 2" front level (lower) block? I went to a 4x4 shop and the salesman was telling "sorry about your luck". "Who installed it?" I told him I did and then he had the balls to recommend that he take look at it to make sure it's correct.

What's wrong with your level?

If you installed it correctly you shouldn't have any issues with it... At least I hope not.

I have the same one and haven't had any issues after 12k miles.

Nothing. The sales person just introduced some doubt into my mind. I was a little apprehensive about the plastic blocks under this heavy body. But I bolted it all back down looked up the torque specs and called it a day. But he made it sound like he has seen many failures. Which sounded to me like he was trying to sell his product. Then when he found out i did a diy. Then he was really an ass

Ahh gotcha. Well i've had two trucks that i have put this level on and have about 30-40k miles on them and havent had a single issue.

I haven't heard of anyone else having them either. But I havent look for the complaints. I bet if there were issues it would be pretty well known.

On Amazon and on various 4wheel drive parts websites I read the 1 and 2 star reviews. None of them said anything about failures or fitment. I feel more confident about my plastic spacers.

Just finished mine on my 2016 Z71.... Didn't even remove the wheels... Just dropped the lower shock mounts and the sway bar links. Used some pry bar action and was able to get everything installed. Had to cut the bolt underneath the CV joint tho. Was a little too long.... 2" RC kit.

Which is better installing a spacer under the strut or on top? Does it make a difference? I am sure under is easier to install but what about ride quality?

Here is mine - 2015 AT with Rough Country 2.5 just installed today stock 20" wheels and tires. I am going to be adding new shoes soon 275/65/20 either the Nitto MT or the new Ridge Grappler which isn't available yet but looks great.

That looks great iam thinking of getting the same RC 2.5 , how has ur ride change ? Any rougher , do u mind if I ask you where u ended up ordering ur kit ?

Ride change is very minimal if any - this is the second one of that kit that I have had and I love it. Ordered right from RC direct and it got to me in two days. I recently installed new tires went with KO2's in a 275/60/20 and did a Borla exhaust also. Loving this truck.

Good god! I have no idea what to do now even though I read all this. I have a 2016 Silverado crew cab LT-Z71 and it came with the factory 22" wheels wrapped in P285/45r22. Here are my concerns: with adding a front only level kit.

-is there a 2.25-2.5" level kit I should stay away from due to my 2016 aluminum control arms?

-how do I know if I have aluminum control arms?

- will the above 2" level kit prematurely wear out components?

 

I would like to hear from someone who has the same model truck 4x4 with the 22" factory wheels and a 2.25 or 2.5" level kit front only.
