I thought the reliability of the Chevy trucks had improved over the years.

Haha I'm talking about the 350z.

LOL I know this is a GM site , just pulling your chain . Trust me when I say the Z has never had an issue in 10 years.

That would look great on your high country.

The 6.2 will open up quite nice with a tune. I don't remeber exactly what I say but I think it was about a 20-30 hp/tq increase at the wheels. I'll try to find the thread and check out the dyno sheets posted. But the 6.2 tuned will have similar results to the new corvettes with the 6.2.

Edit: found the post

Well at least you'll have one reliable Z now lol.

Thanks good info there. I didn't think the 6.2 could run on E85?

Throttle response improvement is what I'm really after

Truck looks great, really like the level and 22s [emoji106]

I've been looking into a diablew tune recently for my 6.2, I had a custom tune done on a predator for my old f150

How does it open up the 6.2? How are you liking it

Thanks! The tune actually made quite a bit of difference over stock, one of the most noticeable things being the throttle response and shift points. I also really like the ability to turn off the DoD, which can sound crappy with an aftermarket exhaust when it goes into 4 cylinder mode. I have mine tuned for 93 octane and it is quite an animal. I briefly put it back to the stock tune yesterday to take it in for scheduled maintenance, and that was a good reminder of how improved it is with the tune (I loaded the custom tune back on in the service department lot before I even left the dealership haha) .

Oh shoot I'm the last person you have to worry about offending! Glad to hear your Z hasn't been a headache. Almost everyone I know who has owned had a lot of problems with them past 60,000 miles.

The L86 was actually designed to run on E85 like the other direct injection engines. If you find the initial press release by GM you will that the engine is listed as flex fuel capable. Supposedly they pulled the plug on E85 for the L86 as its numbers would have rivaled the LT1 (corvette) numbers. But with a couple new parts and flexfuel sensor the L86 runs beautifully on E85. And the gains are impressive as well.

Got some fuel mavs this weekend. Truck isn't very clean, but love the look of these wheels on my truck. New tires will be on soon.

Good to hear. I'll get around to having one done up eventually

Are you using the trinity or intune? I don't have many stations with 93 where I'm at but have run 91 since day one and I'm sure a performance tune based on 91 will still kick ass

I have the Intune. It's pretty slow to boot up and such, but gets the job done. Very simple drag and drop of Diablew's tune files from email into the Intune.

I was considering a color matched black grille from a z71...I agree that it's a lot of chrome, haha.

I would interested in your High Country Grille if you do..

Since it's been raining a lot lately, which is good, here's a older pic when she was somewhat clean...

Just delivered last Friday! 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 All Star Edition. Love it! The 2012 GMC Sierra was a great truck with no problems, but when I saw this one, I had to have it!

Bought her 'used' with 2500 miles on the clock in June 2012. Started a practice in July 15 and it became my work truck.

2014 Silverado 1500 LT Z71 CC 4x4. Currently stock. Getting new rubber tomorrow.
