I used the vinyl overlays. They worked perfectly. Easy to cut with exact knife. Bought two off ebay for $8 bucks shipped.

I assumed the vinyl overlays wouldn't stick as we'll or hold up on the new bow ties, because the new bow ties are textured.

I just masked mine and painted them....its easy to slide masking tape behind the rear emblems and the front separates from the grille

Plasti dip mine over the weekend.. Too easy and they turned out great! Also the $ saved! Even power washed the truck the next day, no problems at all.. Front and back, can't beat it

Was it easy doing the letters? I've seen the YouTube videos and they make it look easy when taking off the excess. But the reality part of me knows there has gotta be a trick to it.

Nope. It was easy. That was the first time. I just taped off the area around it, sprayed it a few times, then peeled off the extra parts with a tooth pick. I even had my 2yr old use her tiny fingers for some of the cracks. I let the truck forty so it would come of even easier. I used a wash cloth and windex to clean the badge.

Let the cans sit in @125F tap water for 30 mins or so and make sure you have a feral monkey shake the cans well to mix it up. Let them sit for5-10 more mins to warm up again and shake well.

Spray 8-12 even light coats and if you don't like it you can peal it off in a sheet

Comes out way smoother.

Discovered plastidip when I got tired of the red on my Honda Pioneer.

How well does this hold up off-road?
