Got my MBRP kit today for my 2015 double cab's 6.2. I will probably toss the third cat if I can and or just hollow the thing out as well as this exhaust. There is enough pipe in the kit I could probably delete that third one but I doubt its front connection is the same as the rear thus I would have to go somewhere and get it welded. If that be the case, gutting will suffice. It should sound good I am thinking either way.

Just wrapped up my exhaust. Truck is a 2015 RCSB 5.3

Kooks 1 7/8"

Kooks 3 to 3 1/2" catless y-pipe for a 6.2

MBRP 3 1/2" 6.2 cat back modified to fit a RCSB

Here is a vid of a cold start.
I will get a vid of a warm start and warm idle. Once the engine warms up the timing changes and makes a very noticeable difference. Gets much quieter and deeper.

The mic on my phone cannot pic up the full definition of the exhaust note.

Really think Im going to have to go with a Magnaflow 14" muffler...

I cant stand the chopper sound, so I guess Ill delete the resonator but leave the flapper.

You'll really like it. That's what I have and I love it. Had the 18" as well, but the 14" was a little louder and sounded meaner. No noticeable difference in sound from inside the cab tho. Check out my video though. If you use good headphones or speakers, you can hear the V4 drone. You can hear it, but after a while you really don't even notice it anymore. I would also highly suggest removing the flapper. If you don't it will take a good amount of sound away.

Do you have a good amount of the chopper noise? Although seeing you have a tune Im assuming you have the AFM turned off (yet in video you show it still has the V4 mode). Thoughts?

I plan to do the muffler and tune here in coming months, so I guess its best to do the muffler (and flapper) and soon after the tune, and just go ahead and turn off the AFM. I just cant stand the chopper noise!

I actually just got my tuner a few weeks ago. I've had the exhaust for 3-4 months now. I personally am not a fan of the chopper noise so to eliminate that just drive in M5. You truck will still shift from 1-5 on its own, but all this does is lockout 6th gear. By doing this the AFM will not kick on, therefore no drone. You'll notice towards the end of the video when I state V4 comes on, I shift up from M5 to D.

***EDIT - I just noticed you've got a 15 denali so my guess is you have the 8 speed. If that's the case, use same method, just shift to M7. I drove around using M5 from the day I got it installed to the day I got my tune. No harm no foul.

Are any of you using a dual in/dual out Magnaflow? If so, what size? Also, is there a difference in the amount of drone you get from those vs. single in/dual out when the AFM kicks in?
