Maybe a long shot but any of you pull anything remotely heavy after lowering? I'm trying to find a decent ball mount for my receiver that doesn't have a ton of drop on it.

Flip your drop ball mount...

I have had 2 issues, one is a fairly simple fix, the other seems to have no immediate effect on handling or operation, but we'll see how it goes in the long term.

The first issue is cv clearance. The cv boot expands at highway speeds, and wore a hole in the boot and making a big greasy mess. But after figuring out what the issue was, it was pretty easy to do a little grinding and create the clearance needed. For the price of the spindles, this should not be an issue, however mcgaughys recommends no more than 2" of drop on a 4x4, and with the springs I'm at 4". So I knowingly exceeded the recommended drop, thus I can't really fault them there, just an adjustment to account for the extra drop. The photo is where the clearance issue was before fixing it.

The second issue is in alignment. The caster is slightly out of spec, while toe in and camber are well within tolerance. That being said, the truck drives and tracks straight, handles fantastic in the curves. If I didn't have the alignment sheet for the shop, I would never know it was out of spec. It may cause some long term tire wear, however in daily driving, it's not an issue. 941c129a9766754cfe188e023131ef09.jpg

Thats kind of one of those "well duh" moments.

Wasn't sure if you could with the ones I've seen around here. They had a welded brace that from the way I saw it wouldn't like to be flipped but then I'm probably just over thinking it [emoji23]

So finally I came up with the decision which route on how to lower the truck, here are the parts, all are Belltech by the way.

2514 spindle (2in drop)

25004 drop struts (+/- 2 “ adjustability, aiming for the 1-2 “ drop)

6525 flip kit (trying the 7” drop to avoid not to change hanger, but we will see what happens)

2210FF rear shocks

The truck is a 2017 Silverado RCSB 4WD black LT With 20” OEM SIERRA rims 275/55/20 tires.

Note:  I am to cut 1/4 - 1/2 “ off the upper ball joint bolt to clear the CV axle boot as per Belltech instruction(this info was shared already by a previous postings with attached picture)

Put those bump stops in for sure     and keep an eye on your driveshaft.  You may need to have it shortened like I had to do with mine

Currently I am on a 3” drop(2.5” really maybe) with 2”shackle and block removed. I hope everything will sor5 out, we’ll see. The picture will show some 1.5” clearance

Same setup I have.

I actually just ordered the 4957 alignment kit because I can see my camber is way off after installing the spindles.  Surprisingly it drives straight still.  I did align it after I put the struts in, just haven't gotten around to doing it since the spindles and flip kit.

Thank you for  the heads up. At least I have already the solution if ever I will have the same issue.

Tnxs, I will keep that in mind. Though I really don’t intend to go for the notch. We’ll see.

I'm around 5" and still have plenty of yoke left. DSC_0835.thumb.JPG.a1a067ce4d2eddafa2486462c45d59da.JPG

The provided Transmission Spacer, it says in the instruction for 2WD only, but did you need to install it?

on the other note, how did you install/tighten the provided bump stop? No access  to reach the nut...Lol
