Just to inform of my findings. To get that last inch I desired on my McGaughys rear flip kit, I was able to use their GM short shackle. This was used in conjunction with their adjustable spring hanger. This will get you back the inch you lose when you trade out your stock hanger and use theirs. I have put 180 miles on this new setup and it rides perfectly. No binding, clunking, or squeeking. The shackles clear the spring and the hanger just fine. Ride quality is great, no change from stock shackles. Others might have a problem if you still have your stock hangers equipped. These shackles are specifically designed to work paired to their adjustable hangers. All in all, if your looking for maximum drop from your flip kit, just leave your stock hangers on. Looking back, that's what I should have done. Now the truck is sitting exactly where I wanted it to be.

I had all 3  rands of those. They all went in the trash.  There was hardly any suspension movement

I'll try and do some launches from a stop on my way home from work today, and check out how it feels. But as for normal driving(bumps, potholes, dips, etc.) seems to be working very well. No complaints.

So after I did the flip, just in time my brother came by, he told me there’s a play on the rear axle. Woah! Is this normal? I was concerned coz i don’t have any idea about this end-play thing. Need your expert opinion guys. Tnxs

With no tire, I hold the rear hub and push/pull it. The axle moves about 1/8” in and out

What worries me at first was when I tried replicating it with our crew cab, I didn’t notice any movement. So, it’s normal, huh. Tnxs as always.

you'd be surprised how many people come into the dealership and complain about this.

So does anyone have a experience on how the ride is with a drop  and helper bags?  I am considering a 2-3" drop in the rear (shackle and/or spacer) and adding helper bags for when I tow larger loads.  Front is stock right now.  My goal would be to keep it relatively level, but I just don't want to sacrifice the ride.  I have the  4x4 z71 offroad package with the stock Ranchos in the rear.

I was looking at Air Ride helpers, but wasn't sure what to look for in shackles.  Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!
