Does anyone know which woodgrain a '14 Silverado LTZ would have? I figure I'll just match the upper console trim to my door wood grain, and I can't seem to get google to help me.

These are my options:

- Quilted Maple

- Grand Lace Wood

- Mineral Caster

- Curly Koa

Thanks in advance.

I completed the console swap today. Thanks to everyone who has posted in this thread for helping out. Everything is wired and functioning with the exception of the front USB ports. I will work on that soon.

I ended up using parts of the harness that came with the console to make it a cleaner install. That worked out perfectly.

The only issue that I ran into is that my console plate did not include the cupholder :nonod:. I bought most parts from GM Parts Direct, but bought the plate from eBay because a seller had a brand new one with the ports for $85 an it was the right color. I didn't realize it was supposed to include the cupholder. If I order one separately, it looks like they are $120. I'm not too happy about that.

Putting that aside, I really like it. It fits perfectly and looks fantastic.

Check eBay I think you can find one on there cheaper, I ordered 80% of mine on eBay

Thanks. I had looked before and $120 was the cheapest I found, but after your post I searched again and found one for $60. I guess that will have to do. I only paid $80 for the plate and ports, so I guess it is still better that the full unit from other sellers.

I can help some, or maybe make it worse.

Davenport Wood

Grand Momiji

Spalted Quilted Maple

Are all Chevrolet Trims

Curly Koa

Mineral Caster

Grand Lace Wood

Are all GMC trims

Also not sure all 3 of each are woodgrain. There are other trims but they are obviously not woodgrain

I think LTZ is one woodgrain and High Country is another.

i have gmc sierra 2015 base coca which parts i use to swap the console

i bought the console and the plate

the bought pannel and bracket left becasue it always says it is not available for sierra 1500 and i get confused

I drive a 2014 Sierra SLE that does not have a 110v next to the ash tray, only a 12v. For the upper trim panel kit, do I only order the panel kit WITHOUT 110v? Or is it possible to buy the one WITH 110v and route some power to it?

hmm.. i will check when i get back into my truck. i never noticed something below the 12v.

It's below and set deeper in. Might be hard to spot from certain angles unless you know it's there / are looking for it.

I just received my console and am in the process laying out the wiring and had a question. Couldn't I connect the USB in the console box with the 3 USM in the front of the console to make them all function? Both USB ports would connect under the passenger seat like it was with the jump seat. I have all of the connecters after removing them from the jump seat and the connectors that came with the console.

It will still only work for charging, I tried a usb to mini usb extension cord, and I was able to charge from it, but not control my music, so I just used the cord from GM that runs from the HMI, to the 3 usb's

    • I get the same results with pictures. Then I figure it out. Then I forget. Screw it.
    • I guess I'm the only one on this forum who can't get effing pics to load here! Do you have to resize them to post, or am I just blocked from uploads?   I have the same luck with automotive electronics ... but this is the ONLY site on the net that I have this problem!   I'd post pics of what I'm working on ... but I CAN'T! 🤬       Just fabbed up the kickdown cable (had to extend the cable mount WAAAY out from the throttle shaft to get a full pull), and parts arrived for the fuel lines on the 940 carb conversion project. Should be able to drive this thing by the end of the day. If not for work, I'd have had this thing done SIX weeks ago.   Got the jetting sorted out last week. Had a real bad tip-in bog that I couldn't seem to correct. Friggin float height was over 11mm too HIGH! eBay purchase, so no wonder everything is screwed up right out of the box! I ended up with a larger dual-squirt accelerator pump jet anyway instead of the single. Also moved the 70 primary idle jet (4 sizes too big out of the box) to the secondary idle circuit, and installed a 57 in the primary. Runs great on the fuel bottle!    Still using the computer for ignition. Going to drive it first and see if I want to go through the project of installing an intermediate shaft with a distributor drive gear, so I can install a block-mounted distributor and run points, 100% computer free. I should do that anyway just from a simplicity / reliability / tunability standpoint. The electronics left me stranded last year a couple times! I can't tweak the timing to my liking right now because of the computer. Tried twisting the cam-driven distributor already ... and the damned thing just reverts back to where it was! That's infuriating. But if it runs well enough I might save that for next season.   Just driving it in and out of the shop to work on other projects, it feels 1,000% more responsive with the carburetor. Also fires MUCH faster when cranking. Can't wait to drive it and see if I got more than 114 ponies, lolol.
    • Triumph makes me think of cars not bikes. Especially with model names like the TR7, that was a Triumph car model too. Peak TR for me was the TR250. You could retain the post-war roadster looks, with an optional surrey hard top, but with an inline 6 engine instead of the TR4's anemic 4-cylinder, but still have a 4 speed, optional overdrive.   I know almost nothing about Triumph bikes, except that they exist. Good looking bikes though.   I don't know if I could just have one vehicle. The Silverado does it all except for fitting anywhere. But it leaves a void in real driving enjoyment, unless driving an extremely large sofa is your thing.   What did I do to my 'other' (muslce car - which one!?) vehicle lately. I took my '23 SS for a drive. It's only got 1600 miles. I keep reminding myself I shouldn't be so precious about this car. It likes to be driven. Needs to be driven. Life is short and if I don't enjoy it, someone else will. The other half calls it "the garage ornament".
    • Hey everyone, Thought we’d share our 40" SLIM Light Bar setup for the 2022+ Chevrolet Silverado 1500 for anyone looking at behind-the-grille lighting options.   The 40" bar sits behind the lower factory grille, so it stays pretty well hidden when it’s off. The mounting position is also adjustable, which helps with getting the bar positioned properly depending on the grille.   A few details on the setup:   40" SLIM LED light bar Fits 2022–2026 Silverado 1500 Spot + flood beam pattern White, amber, or white with amber DRL backglow Adjustable mounting position No cutting or drilling required Doesn't interfere with the active grille shutters Vehicle-specific mounting brackets       It’s a straightforward option for anyone who wants the coverage of a 40" bar but prefers to keep the front of the truck relatively stock-looking. Curious what the Silverado owners here prefer — hidden behind-the-grille lighting or an exposed bumper-mounted setup?
    • Yes. Absolutely. That doesn't mean I don't like and enjoy a variety of machines. I went for a time with no other vehicle than a 1976 Triumph TR7-V Tiger. Loved that bike and rode it 365 in any and all weather. I did not feel deprived of anything.
