I actually kinda like the stock wheels. One day I might do wheels since I plan on keeping the truck for 10+ years. I'd rather get rid of the stock tires first. Not impressed with them at all.

Are they still putting the garbage goodyear wrangler sras on the 18" stocks for 2016? If so, i agree... they gotta go Edited February 26, 2016 by dbcooper

Yep. Same tires. Not impressed with the traction at all. Now granted, I've never owned a pick up before and there's a little learning curve to driving without weight on the rear tires. But I get this thing sideways more often than I feel it should on wet backroads. Same with getting into the ABS when braking on wet roads. And it's not a question of driving ability either. I'm a police driving instructor, so I've driven a pretty good selection of vehicles at lots of different speeds.

At least the winter is probably over here this year. I'll likely run the stock tires up until the winter and switch over to some Duratracs or something similar.

After years of bashing spacers, I some talked myseld into purchasing a set. I called up Bora and ordered a set of hub centric 1.5" steel spacers for the rear. They will be built sometime within the next 5 days and shipped. Pictures will of course be posted.

 

thanks guys.. now you know why I'm struggling with the choice.. I've never seen chrome switchblades like the front, which makes me lean that way.. then I look at the black and think they look great too.. killing me...

Personally I think the chrome switch blades look cheap. The design of that wheel with a chrome finish makes it hard to see the edges/lines of the wheel. Which then make it look big and bulky and appear cheap. Out of the two I vote the blackones.

I had a flex, it was either a lemon or I'm picky but I always had standing water in the bed after the truck sat in the rain. I have a tonno pro hard fold now, it doesn't leak. Functionality isn't as good as the flex was from an latching mechanism and you can only get 2/3 bed access unless your remove the cover. I'm not totally satisfied because of that but, I paid less than $500 shipped and I can't bring myself to drop $700+ on another cover.
