Thanks, good observation. Probably one of the best tool purchases I've ever made. I love em.

Me too, wish I had bought the bigger kit when they first came out, but I had never used them and did not want to spend the extra money.

I just ordered a 2019 Denali HD with a 63,620 MSRP.  How much do you think my first year Reg will be in 2020 when I need tags?  $800-1000?  I live in Los Angeles, CA as well.

I did the math at $3.00 a gallon with a Whipple Supercharger it will take me $25,000 in fuel to reach 100,000 miles.  I forgot to consider the Five to Ten Thousand in registration Fees.

With fuel, reg, insurance, maintenance and fuel consumption, I will likely spend its purchase price over again to reach 100,000 miles.  Ow.  But I will do it in style, with a lot of horsepower, while carrying my family and my tools.  Such is life.

Such is the life of having a truck, wouldn't have it any other way! I would be registration will be pretty high on that, my msrp was 48k

I was going to buy a $35k 1500, then a 40k truck then a 45k 2500 looked better and then I said 50k max out the door that's it I'm buying an LT that's final.  That's all I need that's it.  I never thought I would pay $50k for a new truck.  Never never in my life.

Kept building them, kept shopping, flew through AZ got stuck in the airport in a freak desert hailstorm.  Searched trucks for hours.  They had five 6.0L double cab locally at Earnhart GMC.  Why no crews hmm weird.  Can't find gas crew cabs.  Said screw it I'm buying a 4WD and gonna take it to the sand why not.  Got home built built and saw this seat option.  Went to the dealer sat in a Denali with the seats said yeah I have to have this.

Went home, built an SLT with the heated/ventilated seats.  Comes out to $2,000 less than a Denali.  Ended up spending $63,620.  What the heck did I do!  I'm gonna love it.

I bought my wife a $35,000 Accord Touring last year and the first year registration here was $400 something for sure.  I'm pretty much planning on 800-1000 oh well.

I wonder, does my Denali come with Luxury tax?  Am I in the high enough bracket?  Never thought of that.  I don't pay for it until it arrives so I don't have the final purchase price yet.

I've been Republican all my life.  Who knows where my money really goes but I do know that last year I paid in excess of $30,000 in payroll taxes personally if you combine all the Fed and State Taxes.  Then add on top of it usage taxes like gasoline and our lovely 9.75% Los Angeles sales tax rate (less in Ventura County interestingly enough).  I also employed 36 workers full time for the entire year with a full benefit package at the prevailing wage rate (highest locally).  401k Retirement, H & W account, Full medical no copays $5 copay prescription to this day (its expensive ungodly expensive).

I think its more than likely "Someone has to pay for all the large payouts from the multi million dollar lawsuits and settlements that cripple local, county and state governments"

Everyday in the paper I see another payout for $3 million, $10 million, whatever millions.  Someone has to pay THOSE bills too, and that someone is me and the rest of the working people who pay Taxes.  In fact it affects anybody who pays taxes.  The total amount of taxes I paid personally and for my 36 workers, and don't forget, the corporation has to pay the matching taxes on the FICA (social security and medicare), was ENORMOUS.  Every week I have to pay the government $10-15 thousand dollars and this is JUST the payroll tax reporting.  I also have to pay someone to make that payment and do my payroll and accounting. (I can't wear every hat every hour of the day, been their done that learned my lesson).

You might think drug dealers pay no taxes.  Interestingly enough they use gasoline like you and I, they still pay that tax.  Sales tax, they pay that tax.  So we should be clear when we speak and not be so vague.  Drug Dealers supposedly pay no payroll taxes.  So if they did, would it make them legit?  Obviously drugs are illegal so we can't condone an illegal profession, but what about all these new Cannabis employees.  I wonder how they are paying their payroll taxes if Cannabis (i.e. Marijuana, Weed), is still Federally prohibited.  I'm not in that industry so I don't know if all these dispensaries are paying payroll taxes or not, or if some are and some aren't or what % do or don't.  That is the job of the local Office of Finance and Tax Regulation (i.e. Business Licenses).  But I can tell you, as I drive to work, I pass maybe fifty to one hundred of these dispensaries with the large neon green cross outside and you can even smell the stuff from the street sometimes.  Are THEY paying taxes?  Because I SURE the hell AM.

Today, I installed those round chassis plugs, but I modified them before  I installed them.  I was thinking perhaps it's not such a great idea to not allow any airflow at all through those tubes. My thought was if moisture is locked in there, rust will accumulate faster. So, I drilled a hole in the center of the plug, and glued some screening to the inside of the plugs to keep the wasps out.

I also got the A pillar replaced with the Grab Handle version, ( thanks to people here and their advice).

Soon a catch can with PCV and clean side connections, an a electric lock for my tailgate, and Bilstein shocks.

Whether or not your reasoning is valid (I really don’t know) you did a great job doing it...looks like it was made that way!

Thanks SS502.  It was easy with a  drill press in the workshop, and some leftover screening from a screen window repair.
