I discovered on our trip back home to see family the truck uses a quart of oil roughly every 1500 miles. Is this normal like the dealership says it is? Also after returning home the battery went dead in 2 days and after jump starting it the radio screen is now glitching. For those old enough to remember it looks like when you needed to fix the tracking on the VCR. Because the picture is bouncing all over. Also it is loosing coolant in roughly the same amount of miles the coolant tank was empty after 2000 miles. Filled it up before heading back to our house and it halfway down again. Scheduled a appointment for transfer case fluid change and added all these things to the list.

Just figured it was worth noting since I saw this mentioned in your post, but a couple months ago my Dad's 2017 Sierra wouldn't start due to a dead battery. I jump started his using mine and the next time I started it, my touch screen was totally jacked up, with one half of it going completely black. However, it went back to normal at some point and hasn't had an issue since.

If there's one thing I've noticed, it's definitely that the electronics in these trucks are super sensitive. It is possible that it could look like the picture is bouncing all over the place right now and then the next day it could be gone and you will probably never see it again.

Are you sure the truck isn't running hot causing coolant to run out overflow? Maybe a stuck thermostat? Otherwise is there possibly a head gasket leak? Any smoke coming out tailpipe? I'm not very trusting of the coolant temp gauge on these trucks as they have almost 25⁰ difference either hotter or colder before you will even see the needle move off of 210⁰. A better way is using an OBDII tester while driving to monitor coolant temps in real time.

And like @doubeleive mentions, his doesn't burn oil and mine doesn't either. A quart every 1500 miles does seem a bit much.

I have compared temperature with the Autosync temperature gauge. It does seem correct. I disagree with the dealership on the oil loss as well. I run my 2013 like it's a horse on the juice too and it didn't start using oil till over 200,000.  I checked the water pump and the coolant tank. I don't see any signs of a leak.

No such luck on that with mine. It still does it but oddly enough it is worst on the home screen but on the weather app it does it hardly ever.

Sunday, my wife and I removed the tonneau cover, drove out to Edwards AFB, and picked up an elliptical machine for our home gym.  When we arrived at the pickup location, I noticed that the caps/plugs that were in the rear handgrabs were GONE.  🤬  That night, I ordered new/different ones, the ones I had originally ordered were no longer available.  They arrived on Monday, and I'm not installing them until after I return from our trip up to the Bay Area to pick up a few things from my SIL, and I reinstall the tonneau cover.

Well the dealership ordered a new radiator and radio screen both covered under warranty. As for the oil situation. They started an oil consumption test which may take forever to complete. I have to bring it back after 500 miles for them to check and record the oil levels then again after another 1000 then another 500. So far I've got 260 miles down before I had to park it and go to work out of state for the next month

If you are having odd electrical issues, check all your grounds.

engine ground on firewall
negative cable ground near edge of passenger fender liner
chassis ground under driver seat under truck near frame rail

My radio screen is jacked up. All grounds are good. Thank you for the location of the grounds.

Added 12 36watt white rocklights total of 28 rocklights now 😂 still haven’t install my 10 row wheel lights due to these small wheels, but my AF wheels will be ready to install tomorrow.

I installed an Autotech Pro 14.4" head unit in my 2014.  Been wanting to add Carplay and decided to go this route as I keep all original settings/functions plus the larger screen.

Been installed for a week with no complaints.

Bought a lightly used 2018 Denali with 6.2L. Has a brand new TQ converter installed and the new correct transmission fluid.   Added 5 year bumper to bumper for 100k.  Really liking the magna ride and comfort of the K2 seats. I am planning on Corsa exhaust, CAI, and tuning it to get rid of the AFM, tire adjustment, and speedo limit.

Also liking paying HALF of the price on a pre-certified truck compared to a brand new one.
