It's the thermostat for the transmission fluid. It's the aluminum block bolted to the side of the transmission with the cooler lines coming out of it.

Thanks. Is this an updated part or is he just refering to the pill flip.

I forgot to add the other day I installed the cold air intake tube, soler Performance 84mm throttle body and Green filter on my 2014 All Terrain. Last night i installed the 22's on the 201820230224_123941.thumb.jpg.55fc3b2542b8f33e01c2768f12d6aa86.jpg20230224_123926.thumb.jpg.fff5e5ef4ecafe1e49441fd818ef3a73.jpg20230325_112003.thumb.jpg.eb6087e4f751ad4a073e6a10d314a716.jpg20230325_112221.thumb.jpg.f387cf6fa92b122226af1020cccdff32.jpg

Any thoughts on adding the 6.2 intake manifold?

I think it's good for 15-20 hp.

I will add it when it comes time to replace the motor. This truck has 259,000 miles on it. Motor change is definitely in its future.

I'm unsure as to if he did the factory update or got the kit that replaces the thermostat and puts a plug in the bypass port. Basically making it function like the previous generation trucks with out that garbage on them

I installed the Amp Power Step bypass switch today to allow control of the action of the power steps.

I took mine in to the dealership to get the 2nd oil change & the 8 speed transmission fluid changed out. The truck has a little over 13,900 miles on it. They gave me a 2020 AT4 loaner. It’s nice, but only has the 5.3L.

Yesterday I picked up my truck again from the dealership for a second fluid swap at 47k miles. If this one only lasts half as long, I’ll be happy. In the mean time I’ll be looking at upgrading tuning, the torque converter, & adding additional transmission fluid cooling.

They let me use a 2023 4X4 Sierra with the 2.7L Turbo. I have to admit that it had plenty of pep! Throttle response was very good. It would easily spin the back tires. I was surprised that it only averaged mid-18s mpg over the 150 miles I had it when my heavier 6.2 averages only about 2mpg less.

So, been keeping an eye on a bigger head unit(Android) and finally bit the bullet. Saw someone on a FB group with it and gave it a go. Liking it so far. All options work(steering wheel, etc) like my factory unit. All plug-n-play. Only thing extra is you have to use the AUX jack so audio will pass to the head unit. Found out my AUX jack was defective(never used it since I bought truck new). Had to buy a new one, almost return this unit.. :D

You can split screen apps, it's 4G LTE, so if you want, you can add a SIM. Still messing with all settings.

You can if you want, even go to the "Console" if you need to change any setting like you would with the OEM unit. This thing is huge!! :D :D

For a while, I was also looking to upgrade the wireless center console pad with the 2018 version.. but decide I wanted to cover that one useless(garbage collector)  bin in the center console. I lose things in there.. :D

Bought this tray, fits really snug: EDBETOS Center Console Organizer Tray Compatible with 2014-2018 Chevy

I like it as it has the hole already to pass the cable for the wireless charger I bought as well

Wireless charger(fast charging): POLMXS Wireless Charger,15W

Looks like the 14 inch unit I posted in another topic . I've heard good things about it .

I would consider it but I have RSE ( Rear Entertainment & Blu-Ray Player )

I don't want to loose My rear screen or Blu-Ray player .

Which post was that?

I ordered this from a company in Canada, but their listing didn't say anything about the rear console.

Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra 14.4″ IPS QHD 2K Touch-Screen Navigation & Infotainment System | Android 11 | GPS | BT | Wifi | CarPlay | Onstar | 4G LTE

I thought in one of the listing(Aliexpress, which I didn't buy this from, it was cheaper though), stated that when ordering, to leave a note in your order about having the top/rear screen. Don't have that, so didn't bother to ask them if it was just extra cables.

Aliexpress link(didn't purchase from them).

Yea, when you go into Console, it's just like you're in your OEM head unit, XM, radio, BT, AUX all work. I can connect my phone wired for AA to pop up like normal. I didn't use the apps much. All my steering wheel functions work, Onstar works. I didn't have the Navi option in mine, but I didn't need it since I used AA all the time and like it better(more up to date). With the larger storage, you can download maps offline on google maps. I didn't install the extra mic and made some phone calls and wife didn't say anything like it sounded different. All my settings were retained. Dynamic backup line, proximity sensors(front/back, but this also pops up on my dash(upgraded dash). You can see in the pictures, that Wifi and 4G LTE factory is still there. I can connect to the factory wifi still or any other wifi(my home internet). Radio has it's own 4G LTE SIM dongle if you want to do it that way as well.

Looks really good & sounds like most if not all OEM functions work .

I'll have to keep an Eye open for any updates from you regarding the unit ,

wWill see if you still like it in a few months & if it is still working 😁
