I'm not really feeling it...

The thing is the middle chrome trim around the headlights would just stop so it wouldn't look right. I think for that to look right would be if you plastidipped the whole chrome grille surround and the chrome on the headlights.

Looks horrible, it needs to be all or nothing.

I agree it looks rough if it just stops at the headlights which is the problem I have with the aftermarket grilles that I've seen and the reason I don't want to do the whole thing is I'm afraid it will look like the lower trim levels. Thanks guys. Back to the drawing board...

Paint match the front end. If you take the pieces off it only be a few hundred bucks.

Ok so your first rendering didn't work out, no worries, I thought about it and have an idea that may spark something for you. If you want black but don't want it to appear cheap like a work truck or lesser trim level I was thinking color match the bumper in that awesome red and black chrome the grille and headlight surrounds. Of course color match the rear bumper as well. But if you're not completely stuck on plasti dipping I think it would look sick and would give you the black look without looking like a downgrade

That would look really good and be one of kind. Black chrome would be easy since he already has chrome. So they would just spray a black top coat and clear and you'd see the chrome shine through. Great idea.

I'd vote for color match.

Yeah if this doesn't work out I'm definitely gonna color match it. Maybe leave the grille chrome like the high country

I actually want to keep the chrome around the grille and headlights. I just want to get rid of the chrome bumpers. Well my idea would be to have them black chrome so it color matches and has the chrome look and durability.

Same here getting rid of the chrome bumpers no matter what I do with the grille

Installed the Gen5DIY Led override. Now this thing stayed bright with the headlight on. :D
