I looked the part up and it just says 23135700 - MOLDING P or Interior Door Assist Handle. Neither indicate its the drivers side. Chevyparts shows a pic of the passenger side. I'm leary of ordering. Can someone confirm the shale number is correct please?

#23135699 assit handle package light grey, #23135700 shale around $50.00

Grey is for the Black interior, the other is for the tan interior

Yes, the part says "Molding" and we all know the picture is not correct.

Changed mine today. Took about 10 minutes because I had to walk back into the garage to get the correct socket size. Easy swap.

Thanks for all the info everyone provided especially the part numbers.

Cheers

What's the easiest way to remove the one that came with the truck without damaging anything?

To remove OEM trim and install new one with handle;

  1. Wash Hands
  2. Grasp the upper section of trim molding using finger tips near intersection with headliner
  3. Pull back upon the trim with a gentle yet solid light jerk to disengage it
  4. With the trim molding pulled back approx 3" reach behind it and disconnect the wire clip holder
  5. Remove trim
  6. Remove the snap in bolt covers from the new A-pillar trim by pressing in on the snap holds from the inner side and set aside
  7. Position new trim molding in place starting at the lower end where it intersects with the windshield and top of dash
  8. Run your finger along its vertical edge to pull the weather back and to position it so that it lays over/covers the edge of the trim molding
  9. Insert bolts and tighten
  10. Insert snap in bolt covers and your done.

2 days, $45.00 including tax from my local dealer. Like everyone has said....10 minute job. Not sure why some dealers are charging more. The MSRP is $50.00 and my dealer never charges me MSRP for parts. Quicker and cheaper than many of the online sites.

I have the Coco Dune interior. Would that be the tan/shale color?

Thanks. Ordered from Shop Chevy Parts. GM Parts Direct site was messed up - paypal redirect wouldn't work. No answer from email sent. Shop Chevy Parts was easy and cheap quick painless

Just ordered mine as well from ChevyParts.com. Thanks for all the write ups and part #'s. The lack of symmetry in the cab was bothering me as well....OCD kicks in and my left eye starts twitching.

Just ordered mine a couple hours ago from GM Parts Direct because Shop Chevy Parts messed up during my order twice. Their loss!

Mine is going to be $47.72 to my door. Can't wait for it to get here and get it installed.
