Man, OP gave up pretty easy. Weak sauce.

I don't blame the guy, the truck bed will never be the same. Time to trade in.

At the expense of himself trading in and buying a new truck. I would be contacting my insurance and getting a new truck bed installed.

I don't blame the OP. It can be a stressful headache to try to get the companies to own up to their responsibilities and what we as an individual feel is right. Some of us out there just can't deal with that kind of stress for whatever reason (don't judge a person until you walk in their shoes) Hopefully the OP will find a satisfactory outcome. I've had great success with the LINEX dealer I used on 2 of my previous trucks, very professional, and I trust them.

let us know how it goes please.

Went great. Really like it. Got the Platinum Premium Liner. I also decided to have them spray in the plastic tie down caps, because I'll likely never use the movable tie downs, and it gives it a much cleaner look. The four permanent loops in the bottom of the bed are much more solid anyways. If I ever do decide to use the top tie downs, the caps can be removed, and the face plate is much larger than the oval hole.

They sprayed over the top of the front rail, all the way down the sill plate at the back of the box behind the bumper. They also sprayed all the way down to the lower lip on the tailgate. Drain holes are all open, and the panel on the tailgate was removed, sprayed, and then screwed back down. All screws are clean, and panel can be removed if need be later. They taped off the LED lights under the rail, and they are clean.

They put a warranty tag on the drivers side rear, inside the bed, and a yellow Line-X sticker on the window. The sticker will be removed soon. Just left it for the pics.

I don't appreciate them putting stickers on the windows without asking for permission first. Thankfully my dealer does not do that. They have stickers at the desk for anyone who wants them. I always remove the warranty tag as well and place it in the glove box.

What is holding that warranty tag on? I was thinking the same thing about removal, but I want to know what is underneath first. The window sticker isn't going to stay, for sure. No harm there, but they got their hour of advertising on my drive home.

Personally if it was me I would be in the regional managers office asking for them to fully strip the coating out to the paint at another shop then have them redo it correctly. I would also have them provide me with a rental car while they have my vehicle. It would be that or replace the entire bed. There is no way to order a bed from the factory assembled and painted, I believe the bed would come in pieces and then have to be painted so it would never be up to the quality of the factory paint job.

Personally there is no reason to sell the truck or replace the bed, just have them take it back down to paint and do it correctly.

On my tag it was held on with some black gummy-type adhesive. I took it off right away, wiped off the excess then used mineral spirits to get the rest off the Line-X. Not sure how hard that stuff gets or if your installer even used the same stuff.

Thanks guys, I just hope the OP gets some kind of resolve that he can live with. I know he deserves it!
