Auto "up" on power windows?

I stand corrected guy's. I just checked my truck auto down on both auto up on drivers side only

My '14 Sierra has Auto down on both, only auto up on drivers side.....however my '15 Yukon is auto up and down on both sides leading me to believe this is an easily changeable software option given the similarities between the two vehicles.

If there is an easy way to change it, like swapping out parts, I'd do it.

You'd need a new switch. Because the passenger side windows switch doesnt have a 'double-detent" coming up. If you programmed it you'd prolly be able to have it go auto up, but would not be able to control it manually coming up.

Yeah, it's in the switch. I was playing with mine yesterday while wife was shopping. You can feel the two stages of the drivers window switch. The other three just one. The switches are all four assembled in one unit I assume so it might not be easy to change the other three. Someone will try taking one apart and look but it won't be me.

I have a '14 dodge durango too, DR and PS windows have auto up and down. It's funny how each manufacture has their on little things that are super convenient. I wish I could find an American vehicle that has all the little things I like from each ride!

All window auto-up would be nice, but I get that it would be a safety issue. Hit auto up on a window where a kid isn't paying attention and he gets pinched, vs at least having to pay a tiny bit of attention while holding the button.

Every auto-up window I've ever played with has a function to protect kids (or stupid adults!). They'll reverse if they sense resistance.

Oh i'm well aware of the anti-pinch feature. I'm just saying that GM probably balanced a couple kids with broken fingers (can still happen with anti-pinch) against being more convenient for the rest of us. As per usual, nanny state prevails.

Not so much the switch. The left and right sides are VERY different systems. Right side motor has 2 wires, as has been for years. Left side has 7 wires and a circuit board built in.

I really don't have a clue how its all set up, but I did notice the difference in the switch. Bottom line it would be too much trouble to get into to try to change.
