Mike- fortunatly for me my transmission went out closer to a differently chevy dealer than the 1 I bought it from. I got a call from the service manager who said "do you know this is a buyback vehicle?" I didn't know what that meant and asked him. He told me and said that should have been disclosed when I bought it. I showed him papers from the other dealer clearly stating the vehicle was a "trade-in". I asked him what I should do and he responded by stating- get an attorney. GM took the truck back and paid a small settlement to me and attorney fees. I only buy new vehicles from now on as this is a common practice with all brands.

I did (file BBB complaint) yesterday regarding non-functioning seat heater.

Surprisingly, I received a promising call from GM today wherein they interviewed me concerning my complaint, nature of the problem I have experienced, purchase and service history, and committed to get back in touch with me by early next week as they want to find a solution and ensure the problem gets resolved.

ref: with the start of a new winter season, my seat heating function does not heat to the same degree of temperature that it did when I purchased the truck new in Dec 2013 and as I used them up to April 14. After a failed attempt to have my local GM dealer repair it 2 weeks ago I was left with the problem still existing.

The GM rep was nice, listened to my concern and implied that a solution is forthcoming. Further apologized for the inconvenience this has caused me.

In my discussion with them, I stressed that I was not upset nor dissatisfied with either my selling dealer or the service dealer but hold GM itself accountable for the issue.

Hopefully, I'll soon be posting some positive results.

The GM rep called me a couple weeks ago and said GM wanted to offer me a trade for a new truck and wanted to know if I was interested.

I asked her for some details and she said she didnt have any more than that. I asked her to send me the details of the trade offer and I would consider it.

She said she would call me back later that day with more info. Still havent gotten that call.

Appears to me like they didnt want to go to all the trouble of writing up a proposal unless I said I would be interested. Too much work I guess.

Gm called me less than 24 hrs after filing my claim. The guy asked me to let another dealer make a final repair attempt so I agreed.

He called the dealer and spoke to the service manager. Told me to call him and gave me the guy's name. 2 weeks later 5 voicemails and zero returned calls I'm fed up.

I call the Gm rep back and tell him to take this truck back I don't want it anymore and I'm tired of being screwed around. He told me i would need to deal with the BBB to get that to happen and there's nothing else he can do to help me at this point.

It's been over 2 months now since anyone has looked at my truck let alone return any of my phone calls. I was going to let GM try to fix it but no one locally seems to want to help so that's where I stand atm.

Update to thread post #6,re: filing of BBB Auto-line complaint and f/up by GM

AS the GM corp. rep. that has been following up on my BBB complaint stated they would, my servicing dealer''s service manager called me yesterday.

Stated he'd been contacted by GM corp. regarding my seat heating problem, and then asked when would I be available to bring it so that they can repair it.

I informed him of the previous failed attempt by his service department in Nov.(to which he was already aware) and stated that they will have their shop foreman do the work on my truck this time to include interfacing with GM/GMC's home office technical engineering staff to find and correct the problem,

He was very polite, apologetic to me that I have encountered this problem and reassuring that they will get it corrected.

I take it in next Thursday so hopefully will have some positive results to post by next Friday or Sat.

01/10/15 Update to threads #32 and 35 above - GM corrected seat heat fault

Pleased to share here that as a result of my filing a BBB Auto-Line complaint, GM Corp/GMC responded well and further, worked with my local servicing dealer to repair a seat heating function fault in '14 K1500 Sierra Denali.

I picked the truck up this morning following 2-days from my servicing dealer and the seats are heating properly and just as they did when the truck was purchased 1-year ago. The attached warranty service report outlines what was done to repair it.

just filed a claim today , I have a 2014 sierra with 7,800 miles on it currently . truck first went in at 13 miles for the vibration . 2 new tires and a balance and sent me on my way , still vibrated . just kept driving it cause I needed my truck . got it scheduled in and dropped it off . 6 days later dealer said they couldn't do any work on the truck due to "aftermarket exhaust" and "drop shackles" being installed . spoke with GM which said they would request that the dealer check the driveline to see if they could narrow it down to a driveshaft or rear end . dealer refused and told me to come get the truck . they wont look at the truck again unless the shackles are taken off and stock exhaust installed . although neither have any effect on the situation . we shall see how this goes . frustrating .

Newcastle

What dealer are you using? Newcastle is not far from Norman, I could put in a word with my service tech at Ferguson to see if he can help you.

2014 GMC all terrain package with vibration issues I found that only 50% of the lemon law cases are won due to vibration issues. If you register your truck through the state as a lemon is your truck now considered a registered lemon? Also spoke with the dealership about this truck and they said they would not even give me book value for this new truck..

Not necessarily. If you don't mind some reading, check this guy on Jalopnik out. He is a lemon law attorney and wrote on this. He has a podcast as well
