Have them blend the paint into the rear door and front fender. That is what body shops normally do, the paint gets sprayed lighter the further away from the door you get, this way it is a gradually transition from new to old paint.

The color is clearly off in your pictures, I can't imagine what it looks like in person.

I'm going to go back to the body shop. I really don't want to have the truck repainted, they will rip it apart and it will never be like new. I'd rather sell it and start over.

Understand how you feel, as I have felt the same. But get it redone and make it right. It will never be 100% the same, but repainting the whole truck and getting a new truck is irrational. As much as it sucks, get it fixed right and move on.

I'm going to take it in again and have them repaint the entire truck. While it's being repainted i'm going to ask that they somehow wrap the vehicle so it doesn't smell like paint thinner and have dust inside it again like last time. I may inquire about having the stock 18's painted as well.

What was the issue? Did they repaint both sides? What color is your truck?

I guess I need to start leaning on the service manager a little harder? After winter is over, something is going to happen.

The doors were all chipped in the area above rock guard. My box also chipped at the bottom of the box between the cab and rear wheels. My truck is tungsten

Gm will only cover a defective area so you need the dealer to show gm why it is no good. If something has not chipped they won't cover it.

Also I'm not sure if you have done this or not. but if the dealer does not want to fix there mistake, call gm customer care and tell them you are not a professional and can see a problem. And then gm customer care will lean on them to right there wrong.

Truck is back from the dealer. They did a much better job fading the paint this time. They added a few to many "flakes" so the doors are really sparkly. I had them pain the wheels a matte black. They charged $500 for this and few other minor things. I had a powder coating quote for $400 from a local shop but I had to take the tire off and leave the wheel with them for a week. I figure since the dealer loaned me a demo and will guarantee their work plus took care of unmounting/remounting the tires it was worth the extra $$. The only thing i forgot was to get black lug nuts.

i have the same wheels and that looks nice. Not really a fan of the low pro tires though, but rims looks nice.
