NHTSA has posted the results of NCAP safety testing on the 2015 GMC Canyon and Chevy Colorado and the scores could be better. The scores for rollover are three stars out of five and for frontal crash four out of five. In side impact testing the vehicles score a good five for five. Overall the NHTSA score for the trucks is four stars.

The best safety testing in the US market is now performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). IIHS has yet to release comprehensive test results for these vehicles.
