Do the rear Husky Weather Beaters go over the edge like the WTs and the front Weather Beaters do? I have been trying to decide between the two but I want to make sure the rear mat goes out over the edge like the front mats do.

Yes they go over the door sill they are very nice I have the full floor rear weatherbeaters

They do a little. The mat that fits the DC doesn't come back terribly far -along- the sill.

Had the same issue with Weathertech mats...sold them and ordered Aries 3D. The Aries fit great and are somewhat cushioned.

Great mats and i have these too. I think they are better than the weathertec

Do you have any pictures of the Aries 3D mats? The rear in particular? I've seen lots of pictures for the Husky mats and I just do not like the glossy black look they have. I only need the rear full coverage mat for my crew cab.

Here is what my weather tech rear mat looks like after only a few months of use. I can't understand why they would start to curl up. They've always been perfectly placed and the only thing I ever have in the backseat is my dog.

The rear lip used to sit flush with the carpet, and originally had a very clean look. Now there is a big lip and trash and hair gets back there so I have to constantly remove the mat to vacuum.

I havent figured out yet to post pics on the forum but they cover the entire rear floor and are flush. They fit very well front and rear so if you are considering buying these I say go for it. You wont be disappointed in this purchase.

Wendys: The deeper the mats are, the more likely they are to distort like that unless there's a curled lip molded all around the edge of the mat for rigidity. The WT mats don't have that, but the Husky mats do.

Sadly, WT is selling their products based solely on their name and are NOT doing what's right to make them actually last. Further, only their "Digital Fit" mats are supposedly the laser measured for proper fit, and those aren't even available for all vehicles. Their standard mat says, right in the marketing information on their web site, "Many of our front and rear mat applications are model specific, while others are assigned as the best possible fit for the vehicle from our many shapes and sizes. Some rear mat sizes are designed to be trimmed so that they may be customized to fit almost any vehicle." Any they don't even bother to tell you if the mats you're looking at are custom fit or generic.

The rear mat that I have from Weathertech is one of their Digital Fit ones. When I first first received it the lips contoured perfectly to the floor so I never thought they would curl up and away. I'm going to contact customer support today and see what they can do. In the meantime I will remove the mat, place it on top of my bed cover upside down for 30 minutes and place it back inside, hoping it will settle back down.

Had WTs in my car. Loved them, fit perfectly, and looked great. My buddy has them in his 2014 truck and they slide around and don't fit very well... my Huskys look much better, don't slide, and fit perfectly. Also has a lip around the edge so salt/water/dirt can't get off the mat and onto the carper or door sill.

My Husky X-act liners just came in and I am very impressed with the fit and the material of these liners. The material is softer and more pliable than the WT liners plus they are not slippery when wet like the WT's. Very nice I am so pleased with the Husky liners that I ordered a full set for my wife and sons cars plus I ordered myself a husky under rear seat gear box storage unit. I had been watching the WT site for a sale and their price actually went UP! Husky had a 10% off sale BAM good to go and very happy. Weather Tech BAH is right LOL

My weathertechs fit like a glove. Not curling up at all.. Yet. But seeing the fit and material of the husske, I may have gone that route instead. These threads never appear BEFORE I buy something like this, go figure.

My truck came with the 1/2 center console, so I went with the 1pc Weather Tech's in the front. I've had them four months. They look and fit fine with no issues. When I installed them, I relaxed the polymer by heating it up with a heat gun for about 5-10 minutes.

    • I've been eyeing an upgrade to my tonneau cover for a bit now.  Intrigued by the BAK MX4 EZ-Lift with the torsion spring and went for the upgrade.  Thoughts and musings during unpacking, install and a few days of usage.   Once my order went into Realtruck, it took about 4 days to ship.  Unfortunately, FedEx Ground destroyed the box and contents and it was unusable upon receipt.  To Realtruck's credit, one email with pictures and an RMA was sent to me to send the first one back, and another unit was shipped out.  It arrived 3 days later, unscathed.   I opened the box and it looked like every other BAK MX4.   Biggest differences are the rails and retaining clamps, and of course the spring attached to the cover itself.     NOTE - if you are upgrading from a MX4 to the EZ-Lift, you will have to replace the rails.  The EZ-Lift rails have a notch cut in them to allow the new style retaining clamps to fit properly.  The new retaining clamps also have 2 knobs/carriage bolts and there are two tracks underneath the front panel. The strap clips are mildly different (more like the Undercover Flex clamps) in that the screws go in from the underside.  Personally I prefer these over the BAK clamps that use the nutserts that are a nuisance to install.  The remainder of the parts in the box (drain tubes, rail clamps, and bumper pads) are standard issue BAK.     I did not replace my front bed seal at the time because it seemed to be in decent shape.   BAK recommends shims on the GM trucks unless you place the clamps on the flanges about 1/3 of the way in from both the front and rear of the bed.  I shimmed the front and the middle, and initially placed the clamps equidistant.  This also turned out to be a mistake, because when I set the cover in place, the new style retaining clamps wouldn't clear the front clamp.   New style clamp inserted in the track:     And the issue which occurred because the front rail clamp was too far forward:     Once I removed the shim from the front of the bed, and slid the clamp back to the front flange, everything cleared fine.     The cover set on the rails without issue and I installed the strap clamps.  After I completed my adjustments, I pulled the pin to activate the torsion spring.  Mistake #3 on my part.  PULL THE PIN AS THE VERY VERY VERY LAST STEP!  The reason is, once you pull the pin, the torsion spring is activated.  If you have to loosen the front clamps and adjust the cover, the front panel will - by virtue of the spring, refuse to lay down.  The only way to get it to lay down so you can reinstall and tighten the clamps is to fully open the panel against the back of the cab, which will then allow the front panel of the cover to lay down and be tightened.  Not a big deal unless you haven't installed the foam pads yet (typically the last step) because minus the foam pads, you will need to place something between the frame of the cover and the back window so it doesn't get scratched.  The next time I install one I will install the foam pads before I pull the pin and activate the spring.   After using it for a few days:   The spring assist is great.  You literally can open it with one hand.  My shoulders aren't getting any younger and this was part of my motivation to swap out. The second panel latches and unlatches itself as you open and close the cover.  Neat in concept, however it took me a minute to get used to closing the cover and not hearing the "latching" sound that would tell me it was locked in place. The paddle handles are a huge upgrade and I wouldn't be surprised to see them become the standard across the Realtruck line.  They effectively eliminate the concern that a thief could coat hanger the cover open and get to the contents in the bed. I'm not sure why the very front panel on my cover has a different finish from the other 3 panels.  I have a request into Realtruck to find out if mine was not manufactured properly or if it was by design.   All in all I'm pleased.  Same level of protection, looks good, keeps stuff mostly dry (they all leak around the tailgate) and easy to install.
