Both the Chevy and GMC 2016 changes seem to be made with a goal of consistent design language across their respective brands. This is nothing new.

The 2016 Sierra definitely looks better than the 2016 Silverado. Looks like my next truck will be a GMC, not a Chevrolet.

I just noticed this in the video of the new Sierra, but it looks like the Denali may have power extending side steps. They show the denali and there is a board under the rocker panel that doesn't stick out past the rocker much at all. Maybe it extends outward when the door is opened?

 

Look at the SLT and they have the standard running boards like on the 14/15. The All terrain doesn't have any boards at all.

I think the Denali is an improvement. I still like the 14 / 15 Gmc and Silverados. Are those being referred to as classic K2XX now?

There's no reason to differentiate as this is a new model year. Not like when there were two types of 2007s.

Am i the only one who hates the tails? i think the new truck looks good from the front (i want those headlights) but those tails are fugly! i hate them on the yukons too.

Its meh in my opinion. I wonder if the led drl strip will turn off with the turn signals like they do in all the other gm vehicles. Idk why but that bugs the shit out of me.

 

same here. it looks tacky when the led strips turn off wen the turn signal comes on. while sitting at a red light with your turn signal on the people opposite of you are going to think you have a light out like a dumba$$! It really bugs me!

So after standing side by side with the picture and my truck I realize what u guys were saying about the GMC emblem, it really should be centered instead if more up on the grill as it is

• Totally agree and GM is not the only car manufacturer that does that. I notice it all the time on Audi's too. Looks so ridiculous when the lights go out.

I noticed the headlight going out yesterday on something! Thought I was going crazy, saw both lights, looked away and when I looked back one was out. Turn signal, go figure.
